Played a round of 24 at Kennsington Saturday and was firing just about on all cylinders. Started the morning with some bad practice putting, but got my confidence working and started feeling good. I also bought a new disc, the Flash, On my first drive I didn't really like it, I tried it on the first hole and turned my hand over (operator error) but It recovered quite well It didn't turn over. I threw it again on the next hole and kind of aired it out a bit too much and it went crashing hard to… Continue

Well today was my third day back on the course since the end of October, and I am still very rusty. With all that training through 2008, I have so much more strength then I did before. My drives are so much better, buy my short game is down a lot. I'll get it back though because its only my third day and things are already starting to click. I played today in Festus, MO at a course that was a Par 70. Since I am so off, I was hoping to throw a few over, and my score ended at 76. Im actually… Continue

It has been a while since I have wrote anything on here. Since my last blog, my life has changed a lot, and its all for the better. My last post was about the St Louis Open and how I played one of my worst rounds ever. Through last summer I continued to train and work out, and my level of play increased dramatically. My wife ended up getting pregnant and in September I had to slow down my playing because we were coming in our final months of the pregnancy. I didn't feel it was a good thing for… Continue

started yesterday with me going to a demo event at a local ball golf course to try and sell some golf carts.
I got there early and set up my temp basket so I could practice putting since it didn't seem busy and I thought maybe I'd get to talk to some of the ball golfers about disc golf. never happened though.
I went out to Rockwall this morning and met my friend Scott for a casual round. it was humongously windy!!!
I started out good and Scott did as well, but then… Continue

If you happened to pick up my blue Legend around the practice tee pad of original Hudson Mills, Saturday around 6:15 PM, that disc was not forgotten, but left to be picked up in a few minutes, after I talked with Angel. Four of you were returning from a round and I had the thought that I hoped you hadn't grabbed my disc. Yet you had. Return it and I will give you a disc that you throw. I have lots, just want that Legend back. Thanks.

Hello all! Shawn and I will be going on a road trip from Nor-Cal to Yellowstone Park in July. We will be traveling through Lake Tahoe through Northern Nevada, Northern Utah, Eastern Idaho and into Montana. I am asking members to make course recommendations along our route. I am also interested in cool campgrounds and activities that you may know of. I hope to fit in as many courses as possible so if you have any knowledge of the areas please shoot me a comment or mail me. Thanks.

Today at the Spiritwood Skins Tournament. I played the Pro division and took 8 of 22 skins. Alex Gignoux, Jon Graff, and Ben Huss took 4 each. Shane ??? sorry I didn't catch his last name...took 2. Erik Nugent took 0. Not a bad showing for the day. Each hole was worth $6, we each paid $1 per hole for a total of $22 plus $2 entry fee. My game is coming around very quickly this year. Probably at least a 970 rated tourney and could possibly be closer to 990 based on scores from last year.

I played in the Iron Man single disc tournament for the reopening of Century Park in Greer today. I played seniors with John Wright and Bill and finished 2nd of the three of us. They are both better than me, but Bill was off his game today. I play with him quite often and only seldom beat him. I was +10 and +6 in two rounds to finish +16. I was surprised to receive a commemorative disc for working on the course. They gave them to Bill and Carla, Nathan and Danielle, and a guy Kennen that I had… Continue

Forgot to log my last two games... played @ kennsington on st. pattys day. Started off bad, got into tree trouble and then finished bad. In all honesty the good game in spurts, for the most part my driving was the worst of the day, I wasnt bringing my arm back enough of the wind up and when I released the disc I was turning my hand over causing it to go about 80' to the left, hit the ground and roll 100' to the right. Putting wasn't too bad, couldn't seem to find the groove, hit some big putts,… Continue

Yes, Mr. Zubie, received his HUGE surprise package. And the most important rule of being crowned WORST PLAYER OF THE YEAR 2008 is that you ALWAYS have to say "PEACE" to fellow players, NEVER get angry with another player (unless they are playing unfair) and ALWAYS be the diplomat of the game representing the PDGA, players WORLD wide and ALL disc golf promoters and supporters with a smile and a high five ( or something equivalently positive). and then there was this… Continue

Hey thought I'd tell the whole new community that I just got my very first ace ever nearly 2 years to the day after I first picked up a disc. Well there I was on at white river disc golf course in Auburn, WA playing blue stepped up to the 3rd teepad with a yellow 2008 washington state series fundraiser destroyer with a pinup girl on a basket. Tried a little turn over to go straight down the pipe and completely missed my line holding on too long took… Continue

I'm planning on flying from Aspen to St Louis for the 2009 St Louis Open. Hoping to get 6 days off to visit family and friends in the area. My nephew lives in Brentwood, and if he and his wife are up to it ... I'll be staying there. They live about 15 minutes from tournament central, Endicott Disc Golf Park.
I had a great time playing the four courses last year. Sioux Passage, Creve Coeur Lake, Jefferson Barracks and Endicott, and hopefully, will be a little better prepared for these… Continue

You gotta admit there's something unusual, slightly perverse, and touching about being a female who enters the game of disc golf at a Senior Grand master level. For example, there's no one else to play with who is my age, but apparently that hasn't stopped me. For the record, I'm 66 years old. It was 2005 when I threw my first disc, a poorly directed hyzer that went perhaps 35 feet.
I took up the game of disc golf after nearly thirty years of horse ownership: a combination of… Continue

I made the twenty mile trek from East Grand Rapids to Lowell to play the challenging Fallasburg park course on sunday. The weather was fantastic and the course is incredible. On the drive to the course i was worried i would have to turn back because much of the grand river was flooding the surrounding areas and the course sits next to the river. Well come to find the course was pretty well drained and as tough as ever. Played with some fellas i met that morning. Fallasburg has got to be one of… Continue
