Top 25 - not anymore

I went out with my dad and did the MBD course walkthrough with the Ann Arbor parks dept. peeps today. It's shaping up nicely and I feel like it may actually exist soon.

That was the only good part about area disc golf today.

Then I went to the Farm @ Founder's Park in Farmington Hills for the first time (#1,056) a little 9 hole course with Chainstars and 2 sets of dirt tees and with signs. It was poorly laid out (lack of land to make a good layout flow though) with crazy… Continue

went throwing yesterday

We went to Beloit Wi yesterday to throw, I really dont like the course to well it has 9 holes and the pads are not marked very good, I did'nt know if I was throwing at the right basket or not. I was able to throw side arm again, so that made me feel good as thats the way I like to throw :) I was relieved I didnt have any pain from my surgery.

So I have another six weeks till I see the Dr. about my ankle and free to get back out there. I have been in a support boot for about a month now and the Dr. said I can walk without 4 to 5 hours a day. I don't start therapy till next week and that also is 6 weeks. So I guess I'll see you all in mid to later April.

The Saga Continues.... (Road Trip to AZ Day 2)

It was another interesting continuation of the road trip. We ended up playing a round with Sheila at Roosevelt Park, had lunch at Kelly's brew pub, and the continued the drive to Scottsdale.

We made it through the mountains without incident in the dark. The GPS said we hit 7500 in elevation. Woo Hoo!

I won't say who was driving, but the Max Speed was Shattered

The RoadTrip to AZ

Mark Ellis had to deliver a car out west, he asked if I wanted to tag along and we could play Frisbee on the way.... Sounded good to me...

Well... 23 hours and 37 minutes later, I'm not so sure. We drove from Brighton, MI to Albuquerque NM with only 1 hour and 30 minutes CUMULATIVE stop time.....This includes our 1 run in with Johnny Law (just a warning), an out of order EXACT CHANGE only Toll Booth in OK (they may still be looking for us), food and fuel stops.

Our Moving… Continue

2/28/09 Trophy Lakes interesting Wind Rounds

I got out there around 10 am to miss the coming weather and played the first round pretty well with some wind but the 2nd round after noon was brutal. The wind increased and I was happy to play the short tees for the entire round. Although I lost two discs I still had fun. I was able to play certain areas of the course I did not know existed because the wind carried several throws off target and no where close to the intended target. For those who know the course, my teeshot on #15 ended up… Continue
