Well, I am staying with my grandma in Lisbon, OH tonight.
I plan to hit Pittsburgh Thursday, mainly Morraine State-if it's as nice as it looks, maybe two rounds there.
Here are some reviews etc from the past 3 days:
Got some Cabela's brand shoes at Cabela's on the way down..so far after 9-10 rounds they are awesome still, waterproof lining, high ankle, feel good grip good. Couldn't be happier that never happens :).
I played Hodges Boyer in Tiffin Ohio for the… Continue
I got my first ace yesterday. It was kind of under wierd circumstances. I have been having shoulder problems lately, and decided that after playing multiple rounds last weekend, I was going to stick strictly to putting until at least Thursday. I really plan to take off how ever much time I need to get my shoulder completely healed. I talked with my mentor the other day, and he said I NEVER have finished with my shoulder level. I torque it like crazy. We are going to work on that when it gets… Continue
So I pulled a muscle really bad in a mini a few weeks ago. 3 and 1/2 weeks now. it still has not healed. what I have learned from this and another injury I had is as soon as I feel like something is wrong I should stop. weather in the middle of a tournament or not.
It really sucks not being able to play though. I've gone out a few times and tried to throw a hole or two and it just not healed yet and I feel like if I would have stopped when I knew I injured myself I would have healed a lot… Continue
Met up with Chas Ford and his son Zack for a lil $5 singles at a local kzoo favorite knollwood park. first round had its ups and downs as chas pulls out the win, yet makes $0. mostly because zack and i both got aces. mine on #17. So everyone is down for round 2, and due to a late rally by myself and some questionable putting by the elder ford, it ends in a tie. Playoff hole #1, I had a good drive that rolled 20' off a tree 45' away from the basket. Chas' drive was worse, and yet he manages an… Continue

It finally Spring and its throwin' time. The bulbs are coming up, the trees are just starting to bud, the game is starting to fill in. I took a lesson from local pro, Brett Comincioli, and have plenty of work to do. he has me throwing putters for distance so I can emphasize snap and throw a hyzer that flattens out. Being a puss-arm I have been throwing anhyzer and getting an S curve with more stable discs. I will still have that shot available… Continue

Good times. Sort of. I'm not really playing very well, contrary to the progress of my rating. Interestingly enough my rating bumped from 954 to 961 with the update at the beginning of this week. That is actually contrary to the level of golf I have played thus far in 2008. Since the last update I have played golf at a 959 level. My rating actually only went up because of the elimination of poor rounds played in 2007, not the addition of hot rounds played in 2008.
OK, I received quite a few more responses to the survey - the count is now up to 102 respondents. The responses have shifted a bit more towards the "traveller" group and not so much towards the "road warrior" group, although the majority have played more than 25 courses. The average number of courses played is 30. Fewer than 20 percent (15.7%) of the respondents reported playing ten or fewer courses, slightly less than a third (31.4%) said they… Continue
I went over to Holmes this afternoon and played a couple of rounds at +3 and -1. The first time around I was thrown off a bit by a pair of romantics in the middle of the 2nd fairway. I tried to throw anhyzer around them and threw a terrible shot. Then I clanged my par putt for a bogey. I bogeyed 4, birdied 6, and missed a very easy par putt on 9. I also missed a birdie putt of 3. The second time around I caught up with a group of older guys and played the last 5 holes with them. I birdied 2 and… Continue

There are quite a few tournaments coming up on the Florida Tour. Please see below for dates, contact information, directions and much more. Please remember to register early, it just makes it so much easier on the Tournament Director. From our area alone, I wanted to say what a great job Gary Johnson is doing this year on tour. Not only is he trying to hit all the Florida events but he has also played in Hawaii at the beginning of the year. Gary is part… Continue

So, this weekend the Copenhagen Open 2008 was played, this year as a PDGA EuroTour A-tier. A generous contribution form the tournament's main sponsor, WellWare, made it possible to invite David Felberg, which in turn probably helped sparked the interest in playing the tournament among the Euro pros even more.
I didn't have the time to be there on Saturday, so instead of playing I was part of the staff arranging the tournament in the days leading… Continue
A few days ago I posted a blog entry asking people to fill out my "How Many Courses Have You Played" survey. I also sent out a message to my friends on this site (about 100) with the link to the survey. So far there have been 35 responses, so I thought I'd post some preliminary results.
As you can see by the pie chart, fewer than 20 percent of the players who responded said they had played ten or fewer courses in their career (Two had only played… Continue
Just finished my first Pro Masters tournament. I definitely noticed the overall playing ability of the players compared to Advanced Masters. It was nice to play with and meet new people. I finished last for my division. Not what I was hoping for but one has to take defeat well, just as winning with respect for others is also necessary. I just couldn't get anything going yesterday, today my putting finally showed up, good to have it back (it never showed up at 2007 AM Worlds). Hopefully it will… Continue

So I used to be a 947 rated player on my way up quickly and then the military happened and I dont play everyday and I blamed that for awhile... The truth is I did play alot but I ALSO PRACTICED PUTTING AND DRIVING A LOT ALMOST EVERY DAY! Yesterday I shot 10 down at earlwood and I didnt make any puts outside 15 feet. The moral of the story is that I can still throw well, if not better than before, I just dont practice. If I putted like I used to when I was practicing then I would be back on my… Continue
