I hurt my shoulder playing league on Tuesday.
How is it I can throw 310 times in Emporia (2 huge courses) over the weekend without hurting myself, but I come back home and hurt myself immediately. I think it may have something to do with my bag/ back pack straps. I can feel the tension in my shoulders every time I take my bag on and off.
I have been going to a chiropractor for 5-6 years now, but have been fortunate enough to not see him for the last year or so. My chiroprator… Continue

Finally! A ace! Guess it didnt take that long, been at the game for about ten months. It was wild! It went in( A BUZZZ ) and it took several second to react. The other great thing about it is that it was with my girlfriend...and its her birthday today!

After class I thought that I would pass by Colonial Estates on the way to Griffin. It wasn't covered up like when I drove by before. I jumped in and stated playing but I found that the course is even harder to follow than it was two years ago. It has changed quite a bit but it isn't marked at all. I like to play this course but until you figure it out you need a local to guide you around it. I threw pretty well today but my putting was awful.
I can see why this course is popular with… Continue

Wasn't in the mood to play league today but decided to go anyway. Got paired up with Troy which was good, he can stand on the front of the box and throw it 350' without any effort. But he also has a good attitude, he's there to have fun.
We played Bradley longs today. Started on hole #5.
I had a pretty terrible day driving. The only good drive I made was on hole #1. We were waiting for the group in front of us and Troy gave me some pointers and thats when I made a good… Continue

Well after having so much fun in Dickinson, ND this weekend, I come home to find out that both are DG courses are flooded out. I have no clue when we will be able to play again. The Island at the Rez is almost under water and the in town course at Kluas Park is inside of the dike system so you cannot cross the beerier. I hear this is a carnal sin. Even though the course is not flooded out you cannot cross the dike. Its nice to know that once the dike is gone it will be a playable course for… Continue

Due to complications at work and the current economic "panic" ... I'm not going to be able to fly out for the St Louis Open this year. Really irritating ... but my common sense has won.
Trips like this are expensive and the additional time away from "work" ... meah. Maybe I'll be self employed by mid-summer. Kinda hoping so.
Sorry I'm going to miss this event ... I was really looking forward to it.

This is my second attempt at adding this blog post. The first attempt was just deleted somehow prior to me posting it.
Anyway.... now, long story short.
Get to Philadelphia, warm up, hit many trees, putt a lot, get to tourny central for tournament announcements.
First round, play very conservatively in the 30 MPH winds. Let other people make mistakes, hit most putts (I can remember 1 that should have stayed, but was a cut through on a Discatcher). Ended up with… Continue

I don't mean to generalize, but let's be honest here. It's a pretty safe assumption to say that many of our esteemed disc golf brethren also have another hobby, one that seems to have claimed today, April 20th, as it's unofficial holiday. I'm well aware because I was once a part of this crowd. Yes folks. I used to toke up.
Now, if you were to ask me about it, I'd shoot straight with you. Ask me if I enjoyed doing it, and I'd say "hell yeah". Ask me if I thought it was a bad thing,… Continue

I've been tossing the idea around for awhile about having a disc golf tournament in Pine Valley, CA. Few people have played the course or even know about it. The course is a 9-hole private one located at the Pine Valley Bible Conference Center. I have only played it once, but it could be fun adding another tourney in extreme East County. I'll have to talk to some more people and see if we can make it happen.

I think it would be cool if we could get an area of this site for all disc golf courses and then we can upload videos, pics, and coments about individual disc golf courses. It would be cool for people to be able to go and check out different courses across the world. I like to check out courses in different areas so that when i make vacation plans i can plan then the best possible.

Let me give you some background. About one month ago, my wife made plans to be aout of town for three days with her photo club. My daughter goes to school from noon to 3:30pm, so I'm thinking,"3 days of disc golf!" And then depression set in!
The first problem, the weather. On the cold side for this time of year and rainy. No big deal. I've played in worse. But come on! It's spring...it should be nice! Second problem, my daughter comes down with a fever today, Sunday, the day before… Continue

I am going to just start this off of on yesterday's experience (18 April 2009) where I played with 16 other boys (with me as the only gal) at Twin Rivers Disc Golf Course in WA. What I didn't expect is to win the tournament with them based on the handicap system. Yes, I was able to win and in the process I got a new Fade Gear bag (Blood Red) and two new discs (Innova DX Orc and Discraft ESP XL).
The course it self was rearranged since the flood had washed out hole number six. So we… Continue

My buddy Lou called today. He had been out on a bike ride and wanted to throw a round in the afternoon. We went over to Griffin and played. Unlike Wednesday the big winds weren't there. I played much better without them. I was also putting pretty well. I had gone out putting and throwing at the facility before Lou came in from his ride. I think that practicing putting in the stout wind really helped my putting without the wind. I was much more confident and putting straight into the chains.
