I recently made a disc golf blog and I was wondering if I could get some help with it. I started out with the information below and I would like some comments on what to add to it to make it better.
Disc golf is a game played with a frisbee instead of a ball. The object of the game is very similar to traditional golf or ball golf as disc golfers call it. The golfer tries to get the disc into the Disc Golf Basket in the fewest number of frisbee throws.
Disc golf was… Continue

I was invited to come out to the Glass Blown Open to take some photos of the event. At first I was reluctant because of the 3 hour drive from Bartlesville but as i read some forums and found out that the roster quickly grew to 189 registered players I thought I'd be stupid not to come out and see what it is all about. So here I am at 10:15 pm sitting in the back of my Expedition in Emporia, KS. Tomorrow the event begins and I will be ready with my camera. I can hear the banging of chains as a… Continue

The Team Jenkins Disc Golf Documentary was set to begin filming the weekend of April 4, so our family made plans to fly down to Houston, TX where Director Rob Engle has a large production studio where he works. It actually happens to be the largest production studio in Houston. Val and I were flying in from Atlanta, GA where we played the Atlanta Open National Tour Event the previous weekend… Continue

I was given an extended lunch break today and decided to take a walk on the .8 mile walk track behind the training center. There is an area with golf flags for guys to shot at and I noticed a basket out there. Between discs in my bag and on the floor I came up with 4 putters and spent about 20 minutes putting in a very stiff wind. I should be able to putt there daily while I'm here. That was a pleasant development.

My boyfriend and I went to see my son in New York and so we decided to check out some courses. We first stopped at Sims Park in Euclid Ohio. It was a very nice course, it has 20 tee's. The course has a little of everything with wooded and open shots and it has a very nice view of the lake. We also stopped on the way back home, I would love to come back to this course. The next day we stopped at Basil Marella Park in Rochester New York, it was a very hard course with lots of woods and 2 water… Continue

Wow! Thought I was going to have to run down to the post office and be like those other fools you always see on the late night news trying to get the crap with the right date...etc...But, I came home with my tax forms and found that i could do this online just as long as I did it before midnight!!! Starting to really love this internet fiasco!!! Anyways, I did get it all processed and complete in a matter of 10 minutes, with 14minutes to spare!! Ha! Just can't seem to quite procrastinating. But… Continue

I got out of class early today so I headed out for a round of disc golf. I ran by Lions park here in Norman but they were lined up waiting to tee off. Griffin Park is only a few blocks away so I decided to try that. I hooked up with a guy named David that is also at NCED for a class and we played a round together. He is a longer and better player than me (aren't they all?) but I had a good time with him. David is here from Pensacola and is taking a canceler class. I played okay for a while but… Continue

With more and more women involved, there is more scenery on the coarse. Also an occaisional smell of perfume instead of sweaty Oldspice.

Me and my G-friend just got back from a trip to New York city to see Karens son, who is shipping off to Germany. The trip is Very long but thank God for disc golf. Karen had the forthought to map out a ton of courses on route to the city. We first took in a 20 hole course in Euclid(?) called SIMMS. Great course right on the lake, right off the highway! Some cool holes on a surprisingly well kept, clean public course. It was just the ticket after bein in a car for 9 hours and left us both ready… Continue

I've been doing good in the advanced division of my clubs local mini so I moved up to open, but didn't do to well .
but I went out after work last Saturday and played a round with another player who plays open and did really good. granted he was having a bad day, and I was playing fairly well, but it was a confidence booster.
I feel like I can be competitive at least at that level in the mini's,but now it's time to see if that translates to a tournament. I haven't finished too well in… Continue

More storms rolled through the state on Easter Sunday, so the course was dreary this morning until I came up to the basket at hole 10. A white-tailed deer was stirring, startled no doubt by my futile basket-thumping as I tried to birdie-putt. I stopped, watched him bound off, and serenely and cleanly hit chains.

Well I have hit three more hole in ones since getting hole 15 at Bertrand. That makes four hole in ones this year. I hit hole 9 a week after 15. I got hole 1 Friday and hole 9 again yesterday. Now only if I was more consisent with my play things would be great. I'm getting better though each day and thats all that counts. bye bye!
