It's been a while

Due to general life situations I haven't been able to throw much lately so there hasn't been as much to discuss. I got out to throw twice this past weekend and things went more or less the same as before although my long throw was 375' with an SL. I was around 360' with the rest of my SLs and 345-360 with my TLs. I don't know if I'm getting my timing back or what's going on but the improvement helps. Blogging the 2010 US Masters

Sheila and I have a flight from Detroit to Atlanta this afternoon, followed by a drive to Augusta in a rented car. The tournament begins with a players meeting tomorrow, Friday, at the International Disc Golf Center.

the disc of destiny

so, i was flying through a solo round at la mirada, playing through groups of 8, 5, etc. all day long. 3 holes through my second round, another solo-discer with a stroller asks if he can play through a group with me & we end up playing the rest of the round together. Rough weekend

Played in 1 tournament and 1 mini over the weekend. The Shreveport AM Championship and a random draw best shot doubles at the local pitch and putt. I was leading the AM Championship after the first round but managed to completely blow up a hole and scored a 7 on the second round. The scores were close and this hole pushed me out the top 3 when it was said and done :( The doubles mini didn't go too bad. Hey there disc golfers,

I'm doing research for a paper in my Soc. Studies class (Human Geography). I know there are a lot of articles out there, but I'm looking for something that would cover the culture, course development, and growth of our sport. Ready or not

First, I'd like to congratulate Amber on her Advanced win at Bowling Green & taking 2nd (by 1 stroke) at the GBO. & another big congrats to Paige Bjerkaas! She's only 13 & that girl has got game. She won the Advanced women's division @ GBO- great job!

First Tournament

Well I just got done playing at my first rated tournament and only my second event ever. I played in the Spring Opener at Sterling, IL. The event was well run and they had a good turn out, Paper or Plastic did a great job putting everything together and had a nice selection of discs to purchase. There was also food cooked and available to the players during the lunch hour.

Making Progress

I played a casual round with my wife and some friends yesterday and managed to make all of my putts within 50'. I was a pretty happy disc golfer! Most importantly I had a really great time. It was about enjoying the weather and having good times. While I always love playing disc golf, here lately its a been a bit more serious than normal as I have been devoting a lot of time and focus into really developing my disc golf skill set.
