The Community of Disc Golfers and About All Things Disc Golf
I've been trying to hit the course everyday, it doesn't matter if it's windy, raining, day or night. So far I've been doing a pretty good job keeping up. If I don't practice at least once a day in some way, I'm afraid I'll forget all that I've been learning.I'll have the hand jitters and other with drawl symptoms if I'm not out there, lol. Practice makes perfect, right?
Yesterday, I got home around 8pm, changed my shoes, put on a rain coat, grabbed my Ipod, some green, and…Continue
I shoot HD short films while playing a round. I am unobtrusive (camera on tripod) and care about my play, but love to capture the essence of a course and people I'm playing with. check out 5 shorts (5 min) at vimeo.com/morales

I'm at work right now. I should be working, right? Instead I'm sitting here being upset that I can't practice even though it's raining and hailing. The weather doesn't bother me. When you go hiking in the mountains for over a week, you learn to get over nature's mood swings.
I've known about disc golf for many years but was nervous about putting myself out there because I was afraid I'd be awful. Also, I'm a perfectionist (I can't help that) and I don't like losing...no one…Continue
December 2007 I was at the top of my disc golf career. I placed second in a tournament over great pros and was firing on all cylinders. Then a new relationship happened. I didnt play much the following year until it ended.
Since then, I have been in a driving slump. In early january 2011 I also experienced a putting slump. HERES HOW I FIXED MY SLUMP: I was lowering disc in my back swing. As a result, the disc was pulling around my body and spraying out of my hand. common…Continue

Are you a PDGA amateur who is tired of high entry fees and craptastic plastic payouts? Are you a PDGA pro who competes in age or gender restricted pro divisions who is not competitive in MPO? Do you play tournaments in south-eastern Michigan? If you answered "yes" to two of those questions, keep reading.
In the earliest years of this millenium I used to run tournaments in Michigan. When my brother wanted to start running tournaments in Illinois I cut back to doing nothing…Continue
Watch MMA fighting champ Ben Askren of Team Discraft as he enters the cage to take on veteran Nick Thompson this Sat on MTV-2, 9pm ET. Here's an interview he gave yesterday to USA Today.
So, it's official, I earned an invite to this year's Amateur Championship in MIchigan. Dream come true, prestigious tourney in my home state (I currently live in Alaska). I can fly down, visit with family and friends while playing in a great tourney. But, of course, my parents fly in to Anchorage on June 10th. I've already decided to stay here to visit with my parents on their vacation, but I will admit to thinking about it for a couple of days. I think I'm cursed for big tourneys. I…Continue
