I had a pretty solid round at singles last night. no cash, but I only shot one over my handicap (which is three strokes lower that I thought). My drives felt smooth, backhand and forehand. I only threw one UD which, as usual, was extremely consistant. I didn't miss a single put from 15ft in and only one or two from 20. I never ended up in the rough, very rare for 18 holes + kile. I am definitely itching for another round like it. maybe a few. The company was enjoyable; the weather was… Continue

I went to Greer and played the front nine only. I bogeyed 2 and 3 and birdied 8. I got into poison ivy several times so I didn't wit for it to take hold. So I got home and washed the oil off. I am very sore from the weekend and also feel pretty sore.

I would like to thank all my friends and family for thier support during my recovery from a pretty severe fall that could have been alot worse than it was. For those who do not know, I fell 12 feet out of a tree I was trimming on the Beaver Creek Mini Disc Golf Course on March 30,2009. Yes I also had a running chainsaw in my hand at the time. On the way down, I threw the chainsaw, Hit my ladder, hit the side bed of my truck and landed on my left side with a pretty good thump. I had the wind… Continue

Most posts of mine tend to be on the long-winded side. In this case, however, I think less is more. Therefore, here is my statement of appreciation:
All gave some, some gave all.
Thank you to those who have served.
Thank you to those who continue to serve.
Thank you to all those who laid down their lives so that I might stand.
Here's to a happy and safe Memorial Day to all.

Today at between 6:45pm and 7:15pm at Johnson St. Park in High Point, NC I scored my first ACE! Hole 1 from the white tee, later I got two birdies, and despite getting 6 on hole 15 and 5 on hole 16 it was probably the best game that I have played since I have started one year ago. Hooray for my first ace and hopefully many more from now on!

I just finished what was quite possible the most solid round of disc I've ever thrown. '51' on the Toboggan, besting my previous by 5 strokes and I haven't played it in a year (temp. course).
This is how it went down. Overshot #1 by about 90 ft straight past and layed up for the 3. Shot 50 ft up onto the hill to the left side of the fairway on the near 800 ft. steep uphill #2, then bombed up the middle to left side tall grass, layed up for the easy 4. Threw a 600 ft downhill drive on… Continue

White Birch Park, Hazelwood, Missouri--a suburb of the Dirty Lou. The first course built in Missouri c. 1979 was my introduction to the wonderful world of disc golf. The year was around 1999, and I was a sophomore in college at Lindenwood University in St. Charles. A ball-golfer since the age of five, I found during college that golf was a very expensive and time-consuming enterprise for a college student. I couldn't get on a course to save my life. Disc golf filled that void for me that… Continue

I got my 2nd ace yesterday. It was a straight short shot on hole 6 at El Dorado Park in Long Beach, CA. Threw the dart right at it and it slid in the bottom part of the basket. No chains, no sound. Almost made it all the way through the basket. It was AWESOME!!!

Blogs? Usually not for me; I do enough writing in my profession. But this is different; I decided to write of my experiences and love for disc golf. If you read it, fine. If not, nothing lost and nothing gained. I hope my stories, hopes, aspirations, and disappointments entertain you and maybe offer insight.
