ACED Hole #17 at Brahan Springs on 5/13/09. I took the wide hyzer route and my champ destroyer skipped in. WooHoo. Last year I was using a Star Destroyer and did the same exact shot but hit the pole on the skip just underneath the basket. I'm really liking these Champ Destroyers, they get a little more altitude on the skip. This last ACE brings be 20 now, WooHoo.

Jer and I played at Lake Reidsville the other day. Great new course and challenging as all hell. Unfortunately, our friend Jill lost a disc on hole 16 which borders the lake...Innova, make your Darts float! Infact, make them all float.

1st year on the disc league for Club Dead. Playing longs at Oshtemo every Wednesday. It's been going well, I've been shooting better and better every week. Then yesterday happened. Couldn't stay out of the woods, thought I could make the shot in lieu of taking an out. Nope. Try again. Nope. We lost our 2nd game but out of 8 so far, not bad. Our record now is 5-2-1 (are ties last or the middle one?) I couldn't help be frustrated, and I can't play DG angry. After leages J and I went to shoot the… Continue

Well my +3 at Shokapee DGC was nothing to write home about. I think I've shot -6 at that course before. The 50 mile hour wind didn't help. But I still had fun in the 102 degree day.Happy May?

Even though I didn't get to play (takin it easy on the shoulder), I had a blast last weekend. It was my first visit to the Lodge in Pawhuska, OK; wow, what a place!
There were some pretty bad storms rolling through Kansas and Oklahoma Friday evening, so I postponed my journey down south as long as I could stand to. I almost waited until Saturday morning to drive down, but the cooler was already full of beer, I was all packed and ready to go, so why wait? I needed to work on my… Continue

We built a basket!
Ian helped me build it and although it's not exactly portable, it's pretty dang sweet. Would you like to see a picture? Of course you would!

I actually made it to doubles the other night( thanks to the tornado warning friday night causing a postponement until Saturday). I was pretty stoked when we took my drives on 1, 2, and 4, and 5 (and a few others). So when my partner was talking to a buddy from the other team (who was beating us by two) about it not being as fair because we can't catch up to them because he is playing with a girl, I took slight offense. So I laid it on pretty thick for the rest of the evening, especially when… Continue

Well I have been golfing for a little less that and year and I got my first par through my home park green way. I made up a stroke by a dope putt from about 40 ft.
and starting to really get my drives down and putting so hopefully I'll be birdie here soon
I was mostly focusing on my form and figuring out the most comfortable way to throw for me and it's starting to pay off.

Seriously, who loses a disc after playing two courses without even throwing it? Okay, so Thursday I started out at Knollwood, then went to the Fort, and when I got out to Begg I didn't have my Eagle. I can deal with losing a disc after looking for it and everything, but to lose it without even throwing it???...yeah that blows.
If you find an orange/blue tye-dye Champion Eagle that says C.Blaising that would be the one I lost!

I took today off work and was out and about after sleeping in this morning. I passed close to Holmes, so I dropped in and played a quick nine holes. I threw even par with a birdie on #5 and a bogey on #8. Out of the tee I am throwing consistently about 60 feet longer but I have yet to translate the added distance into better scores. I am feeling much more comfortable throwing side-armed instead of back-handed and I'm hitting my marks more consistently. I took Nathan's advice and have been… Continue

So I've been putting together a series of events, gathering information, and supplies, and getting a plan together to revitalize Knollwood. So far, it's going well, Sunday is the first clean up day, and it looks as though we'll get at least 20-30 people, which is, as far as I can tell, the minimum I need to get the course clean. Also, I'm planning a doubles tournament for mid-August, probably the 15th, which is subject to change, however, I'm pretty sure that one is going to work. I've obtained… Continue

I just recently started playing and like to get out 3-4 times a week and play at local parks (Saginaw, Haslet, Gateway, Arcadia, Etc.) and would like to find someone who wants to play a few times a week regularly. Give me a shout if anyone is interested. My email is firstname.lastname@example.org. or contact me here. Thanks!.....Mike.

After 5 visits to the chiropractor, I've been approved to play disc golf again!
I have to ease into it so I don't hurt myself again, but at least my shoulder is better.
I've been having withdrawals, bad, for the last two and a half weeks; couldn't even putt without hurting.
The doc said it's a good thing I quit when I did (2nd round in a 2-day tourny) or I probably would've needed surgery. I was getting pretty upset with my rapidly declining game, but now I know why I… Continue
