Having a birthday on such a huge US holiday is weird. Everyone is partying and blowing stuff up. They're all happy and glad to have a work day off to do fun stuff like barbeques, hang with family, watch the fireworks, etc.
I had a very nice weekend, pretty mellow, played some video games and hang out with my wife Cathy. It was a nice weekend. It's fun to get a few things from friends and family. I scored some nice Huk Lab clothing and a few $'s ... Sweet!
Monday was back… Continue

i was just wondering if anyone could point me in the direction of the best course to visit on my travels up to portland coming from willits, ca. going to be traveling along the coast. would rather not have to find a guide so i am looking for a course that is well marked. been in the heat so a coastal course would be great. thank you everyone. hope to hear back.

Takin' a break in Fargo. Almost didn't wake up in time (10:43am) to extend my room for tonight. Nothing much to actually do today..car is almost cleaned out. I need to get a haircut possibly. Laundry. Sleep some more, stay off the knees.

Is where I am at now, haven't tossed yet in North Dakota and won't be tomorrow, except maybe some putts if I was smart. I need a day off for the knee and to re-focus, clean out car, get tires balanced, a/c checked or fixed, oil change and plan for the week ahead. I met Cody Weber real briefly, he scootered up to the course to get my pic right after I pulled in this morning. He had to go to work..sucks..

Byron Big D Doubles is NOT going on July 12. Sorry. Pre-reg was too slow to give the golf course the guarantee they wanted. We can do it in the fall without guaranteeing anything. Watch for a new date.
Dunkin Doubles is going on in GR if you really want to play organized tournament doubles that weekend.
Tracy and I might go out early Saturday to mark permanent tees.

We Have 3 course's in northwest Ohio ,One really because anyone else whoever played the defiance or hickville will tell you there both a joke .
Well that makes the only real course in this side of ohio bryans course which is only nine holes but a pretty good one .

I had a great night at league tonight. I tied my personal best score at my home course with a 60 (+6) I had no OB, one double bogey, 1 birdie, almost a second 70' out, off the top of the basket leaving a 15' putt. My putting was ON. I was putting with confidence and drained a great 40 footer for my birdie, it was into the chains with authority (Thanks Mr. Ellis, the program works, its awesome) Ive placed in the money at league for the first 4 weeks, I hope I can keep it up for the last 4 weeks… Continue

I am gonna have to take a day off of playing rounds sometime this week to let my arms and legs rest, clean up and plan for the week ahead. This past week I played more courses than ever before in one week..44.
South Dakota's state park system is really getting into DG..they have pamphlets highlighting their 12 courses, all so far are well marked, clean well mowed and only 3$/day.

I finally got over to Sparta, WI to play the courses at Justin Trails. There are two courses at this pay-for-play facility (just $5 a day!) and they are worth the trip. It is a fully functioning farm, with cows, llamas, corn and hay, plus they run a bed and breakfast.
The classic course is a very nice advanced course. There are tons of elevation changes and some breathtaking backdrops. The holes are challenging and varied, and there is a nice flow to the course. A couple holes could… Continue

My expensive hotel's internet is not working, so I'm stuck using my phone which just barely has a signal, and I came here for the free high speed. They will have their hands full in the morning dealing with me. The last hour was wasted on that. I made it into South Dakota, for the first time ever.
Another hour (almost) was wasted trying to find a course today. Someone didn't even put the right highway in the directions, or the name of the park itself, leaving me to find it by guess-work… Continue

tripped on a root again and blew my ankle out once again. Seems to be the theme this year. Granted its an old injury. But jesus !!! i would love to play a month of summer disc without hurting my ankle. Conteplating on going to the DR. to see what can be done. Last time we talked about it it was surgery. Point blank they would have to break my ankle, cut and loosen the tendons and do some stuff with the ligaments. If thats the case im out for 2 months. Its my own fault i didnt wear my new… Continue

The McClellan Classic was a success. Mitch Mac had cash and merchandise giveaways before every round. Added cash, added merch, ring of fire, out of state bounty and all kinds of extras made this event better than ever. 64 players started the event and with temperatures the high 90's and the sun scorching, not all of them chose to finish. Coda "Boy Wonder" Hatfield smashes the competetion by 19 strokes at the event shooting 1000+ rated rounds every round in Open. Jennifer Allen easily won Open… Continue

The perpetrator comes clean and turns in a claim to her insurance company. It looks as if a new basket is on the way.

I just wanted to let everyone know that Baby, Mom and Dad are all doing well. What an incredible experience, I believe I have felt about every emotion that I can think of in the last 4 days. My last message was brief and I just wanted to let everyone know that he had arrived. Currently Colin is in the NICU and has a whole team of Doctors and Nurses working with him to get him ready to come home as soon as he can. My wife Kristi also has a team of Doctors and Nurses working with her to get her… Continue

So, 990 rated golf wasn't enough in my first tournament after deciding I was done with the amateur fields. I failed to cash by a stroke and walked away with a wry grin. The thing about that event was that I played absolutely terrible golf, with eleven bogey strokes, most of them unnecessary OB strokes. I felt comfortable, like I belonged in the division. This was completely different from my experience as a trophy only player through the first months of the year (and the last month of… Continue

I'm a bit bummed - I typed up a post yesterday about Day 1 but it somehow didn't get saved. I hate when that happens!!!
We started our trip flying a redeye Friday night (July 4th) from San Diego to Chicago, then from Chicago to Syracuse. Monica helped me out bigtime by driving us to the airport on the 4th. We checked in just befor 9pm for our 10:50p flight. We were about to go through security when one of the ticket agents caught us and said:wait before you go through security - it's… Continue
