Yet another brief brief brief posting..I played 9 rounds today so not much brain power or energy left. This post will be beyond basic, it'd take 30-45 minutes to write them all up and I need to go to sleep.
Hos- if you're out there doing your tour, stay safe and have fun. Your course count was the reason I wanted to tour after all.
Lincoln, NE- Tierra (Scott Whitcomb Mem.):
Dual cement, good signs, very tight and in deep woods with grass growing IN THE WOODS. Not… Continue

Got up this morning to the birds singing and blue skies, and I thought what an exceptional day to venture off and discover a new course to feed my newly found addiction :P So I packed up the girlfriend and our kids. Off to V.A. Barrie Park in St. Thomas Ontario. its about an hour from my place so it wasnt far at all. I didnt score all that well, a 72 (54 for par I think) but to be expected, I've never ventured of my home course before and I've only been playing for 3 months now. I will… Continue

It never ceases to amaze me how people sign up to play a tournament. Many players sign up in the appropriate divisions based on their skill level. But there are those that continue to sign up in a division that they have long since surpassed. I guess it makes people feel good to win and dominate a division without being too competitive. The problem I have with the whole issue is that local TDs need to keep up with how people are scoring and "strongly encourage" these baggers to move up. Don't… Continue

"You can't beat your kids"- GOD
I saw that on the highway today, I didn't know GOD was so frank.
Kearney, NE- Centennial:
Short and extremely open, you have to try to hit a tree. Lush grass, manicures basket areas, asphalt tees, most tees marked but some broken. You only need a putter, maybe one mid for the 280' hole. Plays near playground, pool and road.
Kearney, NE- Cottonmill:
Beautiful and manicured, plays through deep woods, fields and over water with… Continue

played norwalks blue Huron lake course yesterday .
and it has to be one of my favorite Ohio course from what i have played the only thing that i didn't like was there was no tee signs and it can be confusing on where to go at times .
and despite losing my favorite destroyer on hole 2 and some very frustrating holes by the end of the round i was glad i played it and will again soon.
the course is beautiful and well kept .

I made it into Nebraska tonight, but did not play any courses here yet. I almost decided to camp for free at Beloit, wish I had known ahead that I could (will add to directory), but I didn't because no stores nearby were open and it was only 1:00 when I finished there. I aced #5 at Elmwood park, with the same firebird as last week's ace, almost wide open 260'ish hole. Big thanks to Don Mordecai of the Norton club for the Norton Club stamped disc!

Today I had a discussion with friends while throwing Kaposia. I knew of the unplayable rule, but I guess not well enough. The discussion arose because one of my buddies chose to make use of that ruling during our rec round. He was way to deep in the trees/ shule to make it out in one shot, so he took the unplayable and reteed. I could have used this rule in my tourney last weekend. I took a six on a hole. My drive went way left and way down a gully. I proceeded to throw a shot a measily 100 ft.… Continue

and freefall to the chains.
Your heart, after all,

Bill and I played Easley tonight and I absolutely sucked. I don't know what it is about Easley but I always suck when I play there. I'm not a good player but I play so-so at most courses. Tonight I was +18 in 18 holes. The best I have ever thrown there is +8 and that really blows too. I parred #5 which is a first for me. I also threw one birdie - #18. I have birdied it before but usually by putting my approach shot in the basket. Tonight I over threw the hole and birdied it coming back down the… Continue

Well any chance of getting to 1,000 first is gone, there goes goal #2 (first was most courses ever but that's probably gone soon too). Maybe I will try to set the record for most goals unfulfilled.
Mulvane, KS- Alan John Memorial:
Very nicely kept, small neighborhood park bordering the backyards of some homes, and a creek with steep sides. Well mowed, clean, nothing overgrown and no rough. Many different trees, most medium sized, including pine, mulberry and apple. There are… Continue

I'm about to go on vacation for 11 days, 4 of which will comprise the 2008 Tour de Rizbee. For each of the past four years my son and I have done a disc golf road trip where we drive like crazy and play lots of disc golf (www.teamrizbee.com). Last year's trip covered 21 days, 60 courses, 1,000 holes, and 11 states. This year's trip is much shorter but should be pretty exciting. My daughter is joining us this year, and since she's not as interested in disc golf we'll be doing some other… Continue

Literally, on the way to Wichita I got pelted with large hail on the highway, everyone was slamming their brakes but it only lasted a few seconds. One course I played today is my favorite of Kansas so far, and all were above-average, so I'm glad I headed south.
Saline, KS- Lakewood:
As soon as I pulled in i KNEW I had played this course before, and I was right. I played it back in 2006 and forgot to record it, but I decided to play it anyway. It is two 9 hole courses one called… Continue

Looking around the site at pages that people have made, I notice a lot of folks trying to get their pictures to "fit" in the top of their pages. It looks like many put the picture in the BODY BACKGROUND, and this doesn't work because it's behind the theme header backround. You can change the background image, that's fine, but unless you know how to make a small tiled image, it often looks kind of clunky.
IF YOU WANT A BANNER, upload your image in the HEADER BACKGROUND, second… Continue

Whew....I pulled it off. After jumping out to a huge lead in the division, I bumbled and stumbled at COS and Lake Redding to let the field close in on me.
My first round on the Mount Shasta Ski Park was a disaster. I came in +7, with a horrible round, and it looked like I was out of the money. Somehow, though, I reached down and came back 9 strokes better the next round, a bogey free 2 down to squeak into the money and secure my championship. Like I said, whew...
My reward was a… Continue
