Jump Putts - The Great Illusion

I've been playing a lot more disc golf lately, gradually increasing to what is now averaging close to a round every 10 days or so. OK, not the 20 rounds every 10 days I likely averaged 10+ years ago, but I'm out there when I can, enjoying it.

Trainning: update

I have been working with the 3 Vibram putters to improve my form and am very pleased with the results. I'm throwing the putters about 250' and my Fairways about 340-350. I've also improved my ability to hit lines by following a little of the BlakeT's assignments off discgolfreview. I want to work more on the line shaping as I believe the distance will come. ace # 13

wel well well i hit my 13th ace today at dolese park in oklahoma city hole #7 on the shorts with a 150 class shark orange with a gold foil stamp .. it threw a lil to the right but a slight wind kept its line and there was about 10 or so of us watchin it go right in the bucket and believe it or not another guy on our card came right behind me with a champ leopard AND HE ACED IT AS WELL! it really was as sick as it sounds SUPER GREAT TIME TODAY!!!!

Muscle Memory and Me

Here is a general question for you old pros out there.

I have been playing disc golf at least twice a week over the last few weeks, and have gotten quite a bit better. I know which discs I want to use for different holes, and my putting is amazingly more accurate. Prior to the last few months I would go out and play with friends maybe 6-10 times a year, but I have stepped up the frequency lately as I have decided to make this my outdoor sport of choice.

Big day for tags!

I played in singles league yesterday (7/19/10) at Indian Hills and had a great time! I shot even par--with 5 birdies--and placed 1st in our Am division. (I would have placed 2nd in Pro if I had followed through on the move-up talk I had when registering.) My highlight came on my first hole (#3) when I threw in a Wizard from about 125'+ for a birdie two and a skin on the tough deuce hole--my first ever two there. Farenheit Fling Veteran's Park Arlington TX

This will be my 3rd tourney, 2nd one this year, my tourney play has been far more pathetic than my weekly rounds. This course is bad to the bone!!! I hope to see a lot of you DFW folks out there! There will probably be a good showing of pros as well, like the last Titledisc tourney.

Newbie Discgolf Videos on YouTube.

Sooo.................this is where I get to rant!

I cannot stand these derelict videos, via phone or some drunk with the delerium tremens holding a 19 o shit video camera and recording some tool throwing a disc into the dirt.

There is nothing worse than browsing senseless videos on YouTube about a discgolf Ace when I cant even see the person toss, see where the disc went, or watch it actually go in the basket.

A Blessing or a Curse?

About a year ago I moved out to the suburbs of the DFW area. I love being a home owner, and out of the apartments.

Now that I am settled in I have decided to make Disc Golf one of my primary forms of exercise. Here is where the blessing/curse kicks in.
