Knee feeling a little better

Went out and played @ the pitch and putt and got second in the random draw mini. Knee is still really tender and I can not perform a run-up. I can one step a Roc 280, which is the longest hole length at this course. My putting was dead on (buckets not baskets). We finished at 15 under. Given the near flooded state of the course, I can not complain with the results. I plan on taking it easy again this week. Maybe start getting in some putting practice Tuesday. If I feel good I'd like to play… Continue

There should be a penalty in Tournaments for not watching the other peoples drives

Why is it not a courtesy violation for not having a clue where someone in your groups disc went because you were too busy jawing it up to watch their throw.I was the only one of 4 to have a eye on a disc yesterday after i asked for a spot and was told we dont need one by the group then noone fucking watches the throw.Today I am gonna be a asshole and insist on spotters and as soon as i hear a disc is missing the clock starts .i am to generous about giving people time to look .I got screwed… Continue

new form

I had the pleasure of a private lesson with Ron Convers recently and am now working to erase bad driving habits formed over 8 years of casual golf. in fifteen minutes, I learned a few techniques to help take my drive to the next level. I basically have to relearn how to tee. but, after working on it for a week or so, I see exactly why I needed to scrap and start anew. I am now crushing my mids as far as my drivers and my choice driver, the Valk, is flying at least forty ft farther than it was… Continue

Knee Injury :(

Just as I was starting to feel good about my game my knee decides to go out on me. Its probably nothing toooo serious, but it has been getting worse over the last few days. Its my left knee and its swollen on the left side. Maybe after a week off it will look and feel better. Luckily I have a new phone (DROID) coming in today so I wont be bored when I have to run the random draw doubles mini and can't play. I thought about putting during the mini but since I am left handed my weight transfer… Continue

Throwing around the pivot point and getting the disc to the power zone.

There are two extremely important concepts I have finally gotten my head around about disc golf. One is understanding the power zone and the second is to throwing the disc around the pivot point. While I could sit here and explain these concepts in the detail, it would be much easier for me to direct you to the resources I used to better understand the concepts.

These videos are from a gentleman named Bradly Walker over at the discgolfreview.com forums. He does a good job…

Soon I will begin a training endeavor in order to improve both myself and my girlfriend as she has really enjoyed the game and has a lot of potential for it.

The process will work completely backwards, meaning, from the moment the disc hits the chains all the way to stepping up to the hole before putting my bag down. I will also play games that limit what I can use (EX: No drivers, putter only, or understable discs only games) and I will make attempts to make it to a variety of… Continue

Still working hard

I have slacked off on my drills a lot lately but have been playing a lot of disc golf. I cashed last weekend at the Ford Park Open in Shreveport, LA with 22 people in my division I was in a 3-way tie for first after the first round but started off bad in the 2nd round and could never get my confidence back on track. I managed to hold on to 6th.

Down here in the south very few tournaments are scheduled for most of July and August so I will be using these months to make some…

Bad day in the rain

The last time I got to play I did really good for me, I had the new Stingray and I could get it to fly straight and by the end of the day I was getting some distance with it. I went out today and was out for 15 min and the rain started, I played on because I wont get to go again for a week. Trouble is the same disc I was happy with last time out didnt act like the same disc. I could not get close to the basket and I could not get any distance at all. I tryed different grips and even tryed to… Continue

Some of you may have noticed the site down a for a couple of days this past week. I had domain renewal issues but all is well now. Ill have a new poll up soon as well. I promise.

Added some pictures I have taken from Orlando area Tourney's. These are some of my favorites. More can be seen at discorlando.com.

My band broke up in early may. Was a good run, good times etc. To pay homage I put up what I thought were our best four songs, taken from our last practice. Let me know… Continue
