Worlds Courses: Robert Morriss Park & Begg Park

I finally got to Kalamazoo today (joined by Tom Blackburn, Richard Tuttle, and Josh Cantor). We played Robert Morris Park and Begg Park. I threw a 54 at Robert Morris and a 52 at Begg. I really liked both courses. Robert Morris is tougher than that, and I'll probably never again throw it that well.

Both courses are, I think, in good shape for the Worlds, with some obvious last-minute signage yet to come.

Someone stole one of my friends temp baskets during doubles

Well we been having doubles in bryan for about two months now and have setup 2 temp holes every sunday ,never thought that someone would steal a basket it was a innova skillshot right after hole 3 you could see it from every possible other hole but from the other temp hole we setup ,wer could to hole 8 and it was still there durning are first round but when we got done with hole 3 on are 2nd rd the basket was gone .the crazy thing was there were no golfers there it's pretty dead on sundays in… Continue

Putting Improvements

My buddy Slic let me borrow his basket to practice up for worlds, and, just in general. My putting game has been far from decent. I have a few on days, but the off days way outnumber the on days. So I've been putting, every day for at least a half hour. I've been doing this for just over a week now. I really can say that this will help your game immensely. Good weather

It was less than 70, sunny and breezy today. Could get used to that for August.

Portland, OR- Portland Lunchtime DGC:On the grounds of a large religious cult. Surprisingly long, with two holes over 500' and a few more over 400', with only 12 holes. Plays along the parking lot and entrance road, near buildings on 2 holes, then goes out into a field, down into some woods and back across the field. Mini Tour of North Carolina

I am planning a mini tour of central NC disc golf courses. There are a lot of 9 hole courses north of Charlotte. I know that the best courses are in Charlotte, but I want to get the maximum out of this trip. I want to play as many new courses as I can. I will be able to fit in more if I play 9 hole courses. I am going to play a few 18 hole courses as well. I plan on trying to fit in something like 10 courses in 3 days. I will post the courses that I play and my thoughts.

Waterloo State Recreation Area (Big Portage Lake Concession) Disc Golf Course

Today was a burn. I drove 45 miles to Mt. Hood, after calling and they said they were open. I get there and they just closed, due to rain. I wasted 15$ in gas and 2 hours of my time, leaving no other…

Today was a burn. I drove 45 miles to Mt. Hood, after calling and they said they were open. I get there and they just closed, due to rain. I wasted 15$ in gas and 2 hours of my time, leaving no other close enough to play courses today, so only got 3 done. And had to play in rain non-stop. Gore-tex socks were sweet though.

2nd place of 30 teams tonight at doubles

I got the only person I knew there for a partner, what are the odds. Eric Mathais who I've played with before in 04,05,06. We tore it up pretty well, he made a 200' fairway ace. My shot took 2nd for us in the 1st place playoff. Like I always say..give me a partner who can putt. I got one.
