I got my best shot at this park it was basket 11 and I think it was 410 feet and I shot it in 2. I just moved here and this was the second course I went to. The first course I went to was in Olathe and I played with a couple of guys who were here playing in the worlds. I really enjoyed both of these courses.

We went to Timmons tonight for the first time is ages. I used to play there nearly every day but since the man on the hill forced the city to modify the course and tried to close the park I have pretty much quit going there. Erica and I started off and Steve had called and said that he would be there later. We piddled around and were on hole #3 when Steve arrived with his nephew Tyler. They caught up to us and we started off on #4. I played the front at -1 and the back at +2 to end up with a 55… Continue

My sense of humor is truely tested when newbies(or pros) throw on the hole I'm playing.Sometimes the course is wooded or I'm on a dog leg and cant be seen, then its ok,but on open holes, its not cool.beyond the ovious(people could get hurt) lack of respect,or common sense.I am hoping to find a way to handle it better.(No felonies)

I went to Holmes this evening for a quick round. Erica said that she was going to play but I rightfully doubted her. Steve also wanted to play, but with him working the graveyard it is hard for him to get out around his sleep. I can truthfully say "Been there - done that, took two pictures, don't wanna go back." So I totally sympathize with him. I only went around once for nine holes and threw a 25 for -2. I birdied 2, 5, and 6 while I bogeyed 3.
I threw a three new discs that I… Continue

Hello All!!! Honeymoon was great! Thanks to everyone who posted suggestions, they really helped. One of the highlights of our trip was the 12th Annual Tournament at Grand Taragee Resort in Alta, WY. We had a great time, it was fun and we would encourage anyone to go. We are going to try to make it again next year. So check out my pics, and have a wounderful day.

I run a weekly event for the local club and have not had really any issues until this past week when I had to deal with some casuals (golf bags full of discs) throwing discs at us. Our group started on hole 1 and as we were walking after our drives when another group of 3 individuals came up behind us. As we were making our second shots a disc flew over our heads and landed about 15 feet away. Now, I have been playing this sport for quite some time and I have yet to hear any valid reason for… Continue

Finally have the time to get online! My son has either been on the computer, or I've just been too busy with life! Hope everyone had fun at Worlds. I did find another job, still looking for a place to move to, but working through it all. Plan to go back to college in January too, have to finish this nursing degree!!! So, I hope to be in touch with everyone soon. The next tourney I am looking at this year is The Mighty Shunga, in Topeka, with LSDiscs. Sept.26th. So, if any of uz goin, see you… Continue

Anybody out there going to be in Cumming, GA on Saturday? I'd like to get a round in and it's more fun not to play by myself. Also, if you know when the minis are on Saturday or Sunday, please let me know.

Saturday, August 8 was an ugly day to hold a disc golf tournament in Ann Arbor. It had rained all night, and as we set up four pop-up tents with a huge tarp arranged over top of them, it was still raining and the radar showed nothing but green and yellow, with a little red, stretching back west through Michigan, over Lake Michigan past Chicago, and deeper out into the midwest. These guys were already wet and had more water getting ready to be dumped on them.… Continue

I recently found this awesome space of discgolfersR,us. To this point I have just been browsing and sinking everything in. I was waiting to write my first post so it could be something disc golf related. I haven't played for three days but still have the unreachable itch to huck a disc at some chains.
So what do I do to quench the undying thirst for more disc golf? Well, today I went to a local shop that I knew sold discs. I was not expecting to purchase anything, but when I got… Continue

Day 2: The Grange, Spotsylvania VA.
Leaving Georgetown, Bill and I pressed on, and arrived at The Grange. It was easy enough to find, just one turn once you leave the highway. We were very impressed. We met Mike Trapasso, who was very humble. We saw the clubhouse, with a mini pro shop and a ping pong table. Very cool. We picked up some discs, and I brought a Grange-logo disc back to Ohio as a gift for the Jenkins clan...though I believe none have visited there (yet). We then saw the… Continue

We had a lot of random, entertaining moments at Worlds:
I have mention the weather. I've lived in Kansas all of my life & was expecting the heat. Instead, we barely broke a sweat all week. Thank you Mother Nature for holding back the 100+ degree temps!
I played doubles with Olav; we met at Am Worlds in Flagstaff in 2005. We had never played together before, but Olav's expectations weren't high. He wanted us to finish in the top 10. The first round, best shot, went… Continue

Here is the story:

I started Disc Golf back in 83 when I was in High School, but had to quit due to a stint in the military (no pole holes on aircraft carriers) and then came back to the game in the early 90's and fell in love with it. Actually, obsessed is a better word. I began devouring anything and everything I could find relating to Disc Golf. I read the Disc Golf Journal like a lawyer studying for the bar, learning the big names and decided… Continue

In England, it's tea time. For disc golfers it's tee time. In my case, it's tee time this weekend in Dexter, for the annual women's tournament.
Formerly called Femillz, this weekend, Saturday August 8, Beauty and the Beasts will once again give us women discers a chance to compete and have an incredible amount of fun.
This is a shout out to all female players all over Michigan. Come one, come all, to the only other event (besides Disc Girls Gone Wild) custom made for… Continue

Next week I will be moving from Albuquerque, NM to San Antonio. I know that Albuquerque (or Abq) is not the disc golf mecca of the nation, but I have received my disc golf education in this great city. For those of you who don't know we have some really great courses in this state (Sipapu, Camp of the Tall Pines, The Baca, Grindstone, Lions Den, Lindrith). I know that none of these people that I am about to list are members of this site( for the most part), but there are many people that I… Continue
