Played LaMa yesterday with Evan Taylor (dang that guy can putt!!!). Shot a +6. Drove to Twila Reid in Anaheim and made up my own course as it is badly marked. Shot a +2

Finally I have internet. Phone still goes into roaming every other minute, yet I'm in the hometown of Elvis. You'd think Sprint would invest in a tower since this is a tourist trap.
Amory, MS- Panther Prowl:
11 holes, half cement tees, signs, a msg. board but no map. I got lost for a second when it said to go to 'A' before '4' but 'A's' tee said '4' so I looked around for 'A' for no reason. Partially open, the first hole playing either 480/340 in open space then into a stand of… Continue

Alright so I'm gonna throw this out there, I think I am good enough player and great aspect for team Discraft. I just don't know exactly what I need to do to make it on the team. I thought if I was good enough they would come to me but maybe it doesn't work that way with everyone or maybe I actually am not good enough yet. Anyways, I've had a lot of people ask me if I am sponsored and a lot of them are surprised I'm not and that I should have a chance at making it on the team. I guess I just… Continue

I have been without internet for 2 days, my signal worked in the parking lot briefly so I checked in, soon as I shut the door it's gone for good. No WI-FI. So, I either have to find a hotel with it or get out of this area and skip some courses. This is getting to be way too much of a hassle. I can't plan ahead now without a phone or internet, and I can't get on to check messages and update days worth of courses.
Monday October 13th:
These will be brief as I am extremely… Continue

I'm going up this afternoon to try the new course in Riverside. I hope it is worth the drive. I will probably cruise over to La Mirada to crash at Evan's and hit DTW and LaMa on Wednesday

I have noticed in the last few weeks that of course the days are getting shorter, I don't know how I am feeling about this, luckily I have a schedule that gives me random times to play and there is always the weekends. But it does make you love the time that you do play when the nights creep in quicker.…

So I went to Columbus for a four day weekend trip.
I played several course most of which I have played before but had lots of fun ,because my little brother tagged along and we don't see each other much.
So we started on saturday we first played the hocking college dgc.
After taking a while to find the first tee which was hard to find ,the first two holes where in the open and quite boring and when you get to three you go into the woods and you walk and walk and walk after a 10… Continue

I got the best birthday present of all!! I won the NorCal Points Championship! It was a close, tightly contested race all year against some of the best in the state and I scraped and clawed all year long and won it. Barely. But barely counts!! After the final round at Rocklin at the NorCal Finals I was sweating the results, as Les Swift and Mark Whittingslow both made a run at the title, finishing 1rst and 2nd in the tournament to my 4th. I was the points leader going in but wasn't at all sure… Continue

For all you non-Minnesotans, we have a statewide Match Play team event every October. It is called the Mider Cup. To participate, you must be an active member of the Minnesota Frisbee Association. The state is split into four zones- N, S, E, W. E and W are all of the Twin Cities Metro- the split is 35W. N and S is everything else. Anyways, this event brings upon much team unity. At any given league or tournament, you will hear a lot of "EAST SIDE" and "WESTSIDE" being shouted when someone's… Continue

But the first round Par was 54 and I shot 74 quite Bad I did enter Am 3 and I had never played the course before in my life or even so much seen it. There were 8 or 9 people in Am 3s that day. Love playing in the wind? Well, you missed one heck of a windy [1st] round at the 2008 CO State Championships. I can honestly say I have never played a windier tournament round of golf. To top that off, the course at Palisade River Bend Park was lined and dotted with OB that made the locals cringe. It was so windy that branches the size of trees were ripped from the old cottonwoods along the course. Tournament directors postponed the second round on Saturday to be played on Sunday when more… Continue

Today I started early, then played doubles at Shelby. When I got to Central, I ran into another doubles league. I decided to skip, but went back to play after the first 3 holes because I liked the course.
Millington/Memphis, TN- Meeman Shelby State Park EAST:
The easier of the two even though everyone says it's the tougher. Tight woods holes with just a few open holes to start. Mature forest, ravines and hills. Both courses favor RHBH shots slightly more.… Continue

Shout out to Grace Rose for the info. on Bud Hill.
Millington, TN- Edmund Orgil:
Not as wide open as it sounded, it has some clumps of trees, holes along thick woods, and a few in and out of woods. Most holes have some length, if you can't toss far you will lose here. A few nice hills, including a shot off a dike with water on the left. Well maintained, cement tees, about 1/3 of the signs missing- mostly the crucial ones for navigating the course, finding the blind holes. Hole… Continue

I have never blogged or written a diary for only my eyes, so it is a little strange to be writing about my experiences that everyone can read. It is also a little vain to think that people would actually take the time to read this crap.
This will be filtered; it won't be the voice in my head that would be too frightening. It will be some observations on my DG experiences for the remainder of the year and possibly some stories about some past events in this calendar… Continue

I ran into a guy who is already a member of DGRUS, such a good feeling. Catch me on the course if you want a sticker and a shot at a basket.
The first course I went to, that I stayed in Franklin for, and even printed a map for, I had ALREADY PLAYED in 2006 and forgot, so that's like the 7th time that's happened this year.
Adding to count, didn't throw today.Franklin, KY- Franklin- Simpson:
It was a nice course, full of long mostly open shots on pristine disc golf… Continue
