Hi im new

I have been to worlds twice and made it to the finals last year where i finished second to David Wiggins Jr. in the 19 and under division. New Record!

Well, a new record for me anyway. I have officially played 11 days out of 31 days in the month of October!! 8 rounds of 18 and 3 rounds of 27. My goal is to play all winter, as well. I got my First Run Star Mako 177g and it is freakin fantastic!! The glide is amazing and it doesn't flip for me. When thrown hard it just stands up and goes straight. It holds a hyzer, holds an anhyzer, and does pretty much what ever you want to make it do! I need to order more. I want a 180g and maybe another 177g… Continue

Feuding Clubs

I don't know if you are lucky enough to play DG in a town that does not have 2 or more feuding DG clubs and if you do then you probably have seen DG suffer greatly. Courses don't get taken care of because people are too busy plotting their next move to screw over the other club and with all of the BS flying around, you can't really trust anyone. All about a game, no less.

The club that I am affiliated with chose to try to rise above this by moving weekly leagues around, not run… Continue

Toe dragging. Solution found

Alright, I'm a toe dragger. I started dragging playing tennis. I continued with disc golf. My shoes never wear out on the bottoms, only on the tops. I like good, comfortable, water proof shoes. They cost about $120. So far, REI has let me take them back for new one's at no cost five times. I haven't bought anything else there. I'm a bit embarrassed taking them back every few months. I decided I can't do it again. So, I came up with an invention for toe draggers. Combining the forces of gutter… Continue

roller evoultion

So, I have been working pretty consistantly on them and they have become a part of my competitive game, but they are so finnicky. I have been forehand rolling with my flick (and every so often with my avenger if I want less distance). What I need to figure out is how crosswind will affect my shot. Sometimes I think it will hold my shot up only to have it turn over. Some of my best rollers have been in 15-20 mph crosswinds, and also some of the worst. with no wind I am getting solid distance on… Continue

New Discs

Well, I played in random doubles today and played pretty well. We shot 5 down, but at this one (Tyler Horne comes to this one) 13 down wins routinely. Top 3 pay and they were -13, -11, -9. But the best part of today was ordering my First Run Star Mako. Hope it lives up to the hype.

Holmes Retake

Holmes kicked my rear so badly on Monday that I had to return to see if I couldn't restore order on the course. I ended up at -2 for the round but it was an adventure getting there. I bogeyed one by missing a 15 foot putt. I would make better than 9 of 10 putts from that distance, but it hit the chains and the basket then fell out. I pulled even with a birdie on 2. Then on 3 I hit the mando tree about 30 feet off the tee box. I hadn't passed the tree but I was on the right side of a mando that… Continue

The 10th Annual Flying Pig Open

This past weekend, I had the pleasure of playing in a tournament. Not just any tournament, but The 10th Annual Flying Pig Open. The tournament was two days, 3 rounds total on two different courses. The first 2 rounds were at Harbin Park with 6 temp holes. I like this course. It favors those with a good arm, which I don't have. That being said, there are still par and deuce oppurtunities for the distance challenged. I unfortunately did not take advantage of those. First round, +22( got a prize… Continue

Winter 09-10

Well looks like im in for the rainy season. Its already snowed and hit 70 all in the same week, it can only mean fall in North Dakota. I figure my season has come to an end with the exception of going to FL for a week or so and maybe going on a discgolf cruise. Its going to be fun planning next years events...

Gower - No Holmes and Really Bad

It's been nearly 3 weeks since I played last so I dragged myself out after work for a round. I had to stop by Greenville Tech so I went on over to Gower Park. There must have been some kind of school sponsored event going on as a ton of little teenagers dressed in red were there and had the tennis courts and the 9th fairway covered up. So I headed on over to Holmes Park. I started with a great drive on #1 but my game went in the tank after that. I ended up at +3 with bogeys on #4 and #8, a… Continue

2 Aces - 1 Tournament!

I played the OD Tours final event this weekend at Screaming Heads in Burks Falls, Ontario. This setting is the most amazing temp course I have had the privilege playing in my short disc golf adventure. The fall colors of northern Ontario, the morning crisp and clear, a touch of frost on the ground, the sun is shining with not a hint of rain in the forecast, you couldn't have asked for a better day for flying some disc. The tournament start off by me playing my normal not so good golf, par par… Continue

AcePot This Sunday October 18

So, as you probably know there is a doubles event at Lakewood/SeaTac on

Saturday and then another one at Steilly on Sunday. Since I am not

planning on going down to Steilly on Sunday I thought I would offer the

regular third Sunday (Oct. 18th) acepot at Lakewood for any and all that

are interested. I think we'll play one round on what has become the

normal 27 hole format teeing off at 10:am. Entry is $12 for Ams
