I have fully come to the realization that life isnt complete yet, Which is quite possibly the best thing for anyones mental health. Granted i have had dipression issues for years now. But I realized today that i want to take a trip, I am so sick of society visually. I want to go out and explore a foriegn country. Or some where in the states that is so visually beautiful that it just makes you stop for hours just to take it all in. Is this at all possible ? Can there be such a place ? I ant to… Continue

The first half of the day was spent making money (50$) by helping mix and pour 34 -80lb bags of concrete for Kevin's dads garage. I decided to help with that rather than play to make the extra cash. It was fun and worthwhile.
Then me and Kevin went to Bishop. Played 2 rounds, second from shorts, me winning both.
Bishop, GA- Herman C. Micheal:
Well done for the park it's in and for the purpose it's there to serve, beginners and short technical shots. Has dual tees,… Continue

Good news disc golf buzzers!! We are going to have our original Olympic Disc Golf petition edited by the host company www.Petitiononline.com They cant actually alter the petition in any way, but they can take out the spelling errors and they might be able to add 2016 to the title too. So keep your fingers crossed. It might be a couple weeks before we see the changes. We are also hard at work getting our real petition signing tour together. We are trying to attract sponsors right now, and can… Continue

so I've been throwing two bosses as my driver for long open shots .
I really like them but the problem I've been finding with them with any kind of wind they flip even light wind .
I've been holding out to buy another xclaiber since i lost my last one but with the fall/winter wind lately I think i'm going to pick one up.
I like the boss when it's calm but so far I'm not impressed and it doesn't do anything that me destroyer doesn't do better already .

NOW WHO IS DOWN FOR SOME DISC? I am for sure. I just want to let everyone know that if they ever need anyone to disc with, because they dont feel right discing by themselves in the winter because they are afraid of what people will think, JUST CALL ME! I love to disc in the winter. Favorite past-time of mine. Only lost one disc in 5 winters so I am also a good disc-ninja to have around. So if theres ever a time you just want to play, hit me up and I'd love to join you. Kalamazoo is where I live… Continue

November 8th, 2008 Was the turkey open at firefighters park in troy Michigan. First off let me say it was confusing as hell to get to this place. there were at least 3 highway changes and I got lost going there. But I arrived on time to register. I Played Am 3 as I always do. The course was like a nicer and longer and tougher version of Knollwood. I really liked the course. Most holes you could get a birdie, but it was tough. The first round I shot a couple birdies and a couple bogeys for a… Continue

First, thank you Kevin Misiak for the hospitality today and tomorrow, and the job to make $ at tomorrow.
I pretty much the week set, tomorrow work in the morning then play either Maysville/Wilder/Athens. Next day the remaining 2/3. Next day Elberton, and down to IDGC.
Roswell, GA- East Roswell:
Well marked, it has signs and a left-over from a tournament sign that describes each hole. Triple tees of crushed gravel boxes. Gets too tight often, not much reward for throwing… Continue

Today was a great day. Nice weather, got to play with Kat, a local and good disc golf-her the first round, got 2nd in doubles with 2 ctp's (for 33$ profit) and found a place to stay tomorrow! My timing was just right, stopped for a sandwich between courses, and got there AS they were walking off with teams, one guy Barry left cali so I got a team and headed out to play blind.
Cumming, GA- Central: Right as I get to the tee, Kat pulled up to play a round so I joined her. Even with the… Continue

As some of you may know, I'm kind of addicted to disc golf, and I have only been playing since the spring of this year.
So to be even more active in the disc golf community I decided to organize and run a tournament.
What a lot of work to organize just a small event. It was challenging but very rewarding. It had its ups and downs, but turned out in the end.
This started out as an all novice event, the Tree Bangers Tournament. This event was to introduce new and… Continue

So, I was looking at my ace count on here and I realized that it didn't look completely accurate. To be specific I hadn't yet added the last couple of aces and it took me a few minutes to remember the specifics concerning each of them. I figured I'd do a quick reminisce here while I blast some Tea Leaf Green (thank you DGTV for that recommendation).
Hole 12 - Parmalee Park - June 2005

Today I played a round at a course I last played 4 1/2 years ago with my dad when traveling to Atlanta for the Secret Squirrel Soiree, Sequoyah park in Canton. I've played something like 900 other courses since then, so I could barely recall any holes, but as soon as I pulled in I knew where to go and did recall about 1/3 of them to the letter. The course has been upgraded significantly overtime, nice to see!

In Tochigi Prefecture, there is famous "Nikkou" as World Heritage. I designed based on a famous sculpture there for our tournament.
This time, let's introduce "Sleep cat" from among that.
This sculpture is famous work of the carver in Edo period (For about 200 years ago).
I designed Disc based on it.
How about the… Continue

I saw this car and figured it's owned by a pretty serious disc golfer..
Turns out it was.
Stockbridge, GA- JO Moseley:
Variety of landscapes. Begins with a 550' straight shot from open into a wide tunnel in the woods. Then 6 tight woods holes, these are nearly all shot-less, poke and pray. Worth just going from #2 to #7 and skipping those. Features a 700' and an 800' foot hole, the 800'er is flat… Continue

I'm not bragging. I'm just writing these down somewhere I can find them next time we go out to throw into the wind. We only started playing MTA a couple months ago, so we don't have very impressive times. We're throwing a Discraft ultimate lid.
Diana: Still working on the catching it part!
My almost best time is 7.87. I mishandled the catch.
If you MTA, what's your best?

My father passed away Tuesday this week. He was a soft spoken southern gentleman. If you are wondering what this has to do with Disc Golf, my father was the Los Angeles Park Superintendent at the time that Pasadena's Oak Grove Park was put in. After I had been playing disc for a while, I was staying the night with my parents in Stockton on the way down to the Wintertime Open in Pasadena. Dad asked me where we were going to be playing in Los Angeles. When I told him Oak Grove Park in Pasadena,… Continue

I played alone today and was +4 again. I started off with a nice little birdie on #1 but things went downhill from there. On #2 I put a thumber right on the basket, but it bounced into the creek. Pat Husted was down in the creek looking for a lost putter. I putted from down in the creek bed and hit the chains but fell out. #3 my tee shot hit a tree on its way up the hill. I left my approach about 30 feet short but putted right into the chains. Unfortunately it fell out. #5 was a disaster. Then… Continue

Since I am taking it slow for 2 weeks, expect 1-2 courses a day now. I will be taking the back roads to eat up my time, and playing a few courses (Redan, Sequoyah) that I've played in the past.
Cordele, GA- Georgia Veteran's State Park:
Based on reviews, I almost skipped it and I'm glad I didn't I will review it on dgcr to give it a boost. The only problem is maintenance- unmowed grass is up to a foot high, with lots of burrs to stick to your socks. As the grass… Continue
