I've just about finished the Shunga video and I should have it up tomorrow... still trying to work out some kinks.
Went to McClelland Park, Joplin today.
I got four new PBRs (as Kris calls them) on 3, 6, 12 and 14. All four I drove further today than ever before.
So I'm sitting here with my 4 Pabst Blue Ribbons to accompany my 4 Personal Best Records. :)
Even with the windy conditions it turned out to be a pretty good… Continue

Thanks again to Chris for the wallet saving hook-up, even more so after spending 415$ this morning.
I got new tires, Goodyear Comfortred. After 250 miles, they feel like a dream, silent, smooth, less sporty but more grip. Waiting to see what they can do on fast corners and wet/snow hopefully before the 30 day trial period ends on them. I will know later tonight when I go fill-up whether I took a hit or a gain on MPG, if it's a hit I will return them even though they ride better than any… Continue

Just curious to see what some disc golfers out there think about Proposition 8 in California. Please be respectful with your replies... thanks. :)

I played the front nine at Timmons alone today. It was pretty windy but playable. I teed into the creek on #2 and fought the windy to take a circle 5 on it. I also bogeyed #4 while fighting the wind and took a double on #5. I birdied #6 with a 40 foot putt and parred my way out. I found a disc on #6 and found its owner while leaving the park. I tried throwing back handed a couple of times and felt better, but my arm still goes dead after each backhanded throw.

First off, I haven't been watching the news all day but I am confident Obama
will win. So much else to write about now can't even turn on the news.
goes out to Chris Lenkiewicz
for the hook-up, a free 6th floor room at a much classier hotel than motel 6. I am sitting on the balcony overlooking the waves crashing onto Daytona Beach right below me as I write this.
I met with Greg Hosfeld today, the other race-to-1,000 course guy, and for anyone… Continue

In Disc Golf there are countless opinions on what has to happen for the game to truly come of age. We constantly hear about a higher level of professionalism, corporate sponsorship, and media coverage. Yet, the more these fires are stoked the less I am impressed with the fruits of our collective efforts. I can't help but think that the harder we try to mold a presentable sport the more we hold back its real potential. It reminds me of an old saying my parents used on me: "you can dress him up,… Continue

I get to drive up to just outside Taos with my friends Girlfriend to stay at their cabin near Sipapu on Thursday for a week. I love it up there and cant wait to play two grey hares and the new course nearby and maybe another while I'm there.
too bad Sipapu is closed down for the Ski season already.
weather in the 40's. good food and friends and some great scenery and disc golf with nothing to worry about for a week. should be great. gonna try and check out a course in red river… Continue

It's sad that when we elect Obama as the next president tomorrow, he won't be able to be as happy as the rest of us. This blog dedicated to his grandmother.
Do not play any of these courses after or during a rain, as today was all about casual water hazards and gore-tex socks. I didn't even know it had rained last night.
Fort Pierce, FL- Gordy Road:
Isolated down a dead end road, between empty fields and a highway/lake. Must be a nice course, when actually playable.… Continue

I played discgolf this weekend and was puzzled at my forehand shot. It really wasn't there if you know what I mean? The release was not great and I was dipping my shoulder a bit for some sky rocket hook shots. Not really what I was looking for. My backhand was not that bad. But that isn't my query today. The shots that came out perfect( for me anyway) were mysterious. The disc was taking on very different fight patterns. I was turning over discs that I normally do not turn over. I left my discs… Continue

I can't believe it!! My 19 year old daughter has officially made me a...grand parent! Ha! Still can't quite digest it, that I am getting to be too old! I guess I have to accept it eventually! After all, I can play "masters" division now! I've been sure fighting this age thing! Not really feeling any older than I did 20 years ago, except for the body aches!! But now, my daughter Amber delivered a 7.6oz. & 20 in. little bundle of joy! Yesterday at 6:16pm!!! He is an adorable little thing, he… Continue

Nice weather today, getting too hot at one point, 85, then a cool rain for just a few minutes, then mixed clouds and a breeze.
Ft. Lauderdale, FL- Easterlin:
#1 is really just straight past office, slightly to the left. Tough to find as written in the guide, but the road back to lot is one way to the right. Front 9 more open, in grassy area around a pond, back 9 in tight cypress and palm forest, little to no rough but many tree trunks. A few poke and pray, but mostly fair… Continue

Today I played the 3rd annual big rapids open in Big Rapids on Northend Riverside Park. Nice Course Tightly wooded on most holes very few open. The course was fun very challenging though. Definitely need a good side arm although the guy that won in my division (Am 3) He threw 98% Thumbers/Tomahawks. The tournament was well put together, nicely ran. I ended up taking 2nd out of 7. Shot 65 the first round with a 4 birdies but two 6s and a 7. The second round I did not get any sixes and alot of… Continue

*Interesting side note: The avg. star rating at DGCReview for these 3 courses is 1.66/5. The EAST is rated 3, while WEST is rated just 1 star.
Miami (Kendall), FL- Kendall Indian Hammocks EAST:
Good and bad, no ugly. There are 2 holes that just don't belong on a disc golf course, forcing you to throw a huge shot over a jungle and crash down in plinko style, or throw around and not stand a chance of getting near the basket.… Continue

Since I couldn't play in it, I decided to stop by the VPO this weekend in Arlington,TX. I heard Avery Jenkins would be there and knew the names of some other great players that would be there so I figured it would be a good chance to be a spectator for a change, and maybe see a friend or two.
I found a spot to watch a few holes form a good vantage point and sat down to watch. card after card came by and I saw some great throws as well as some not so good ones, haha. What slowly sank… Continue

What is it that was demanded from the design of Disc?
It has the demand as the one that becomes advertising of the tournament.
By the way, it is not related to Utsunomiya City though it is this design.
However, Utsunomiya City is a place famous for the thunder.
The original picture of this is a famous picture in Edo period.
And, the god of the wind and the god of the thunder are couple.
Then, God Of Thunder was made a… Continue
