I've been living with a severely cracked screen on my cel phone for a year now. But today I got an iphone! Can't seem toextract all the numbers from my old phone. If you were in my old phone send me a message with your number. Thanks!

I guess I will try out this new site to do a little disc blogging.
Went out to North Park this morning. It was 33* and raining. I played a quick nine to try out my new wraith, tee-rex and bag strap. Everything seemed to fly OK.
It really makes you appreciate the warm weather , but I just can't stay away for the winter.Damn Northwest weather.

Just got done playing a course in Minerva, OH.
Beat my dad by 8 for 18 holes. He got several water hazards.
Decent course for the small park. 9 Holes, cement tees, well designed. Possibly as well designed as could be for the land. Certainly not a destination but good for the locals.

Boy, it's great to be on vacation! I can goof around with the kids all day without a care in the world. I'm on vacation until the 7th, so I'll have lots of time to putter around, work on projects, nap, etc. One of my best vacations ever was this past summer. I'm attaching the Google Earth version of our vaation tour. Download it and open it if you have Google Earth installed.

Our club - The Local 101 DG Union - is going to run a tournament where everyone plays california style, in Michigan in January. TDs will be Daemon and Josh Romine. The date for this tournament is January 12th at Hudson Mills. We'll see how it goes as we've never tried this format before. We're going to do 18 holes the 1st… Continue

Well, it's confirmed. Night golf in the winter time is not my greatest strength, but it is good exercise and it does get you out if anything. Thanks to some help from my good buddy Neil, we were able to get out and shovel 6-8 inches off of all the long tee-pads, and........I'm spent.

Sheila and I went camera shopping for her - she's going to carry her own digital camera on our China trip in late February (28th) through March (24th) - at Radio Shack. Got her a Olympus FE-280, nice little thing. She's learning how to use it as I write this blog entry.
Then we met Ben at 3:30 pm at Bandemer Park for some discing before he went to work.
We played the first round (9 holes) from the Reds (short tees) and the second round from the Blues (long tees). I beat Ben,… Continue

If you've seen the news posting on this site about construction of a new course in San Marcos, that's the one I'm working on. We have about 8 acres of open space on a hillside that is a powerline easement. A few trees, but not many. Last week my son and I went out to stake the tee and basket locations and measure the hole lengths. Today we'll go back out to play the holes with some friends and tweak the locations a bit. Construction will start Jan. 2nd, so we're pretty excited.

What better way to waste time at work then posting my top 10 albums of 2007!! I usually take a lot of time doing this and then send it out as a mass email to all of my friends. Thanks to ERIC KULA for starting this tradition. I look forward to getting your list soon, you know the old man likes his cannoli.
New Pornographers: Challengers
It's a great album by my favorite band and it also has my putter in the title.

It's the day after Christmas, and I just wanted to share that I am thrilled by all of the uses that disc golfers are making of this website. I started to end that sentence with "especially this blog, I love the posts" but although I do love this blog and posts on it, there are so many good things about what people are doing in here that I cannot realistically add "especially" to any one. Here's a little background on Disc Golfers R Us
Way back before I joined the PDGA… Continue

Ahh... nothing like Christmas. There's just a different feeling around the house during the holidays. Right now I'm sitting back with a nice honey brown... smooth brown honey lager. My dog, Atticus, is guarding his dog biscuit instead of eating it. I'm pleasantly ignoring an episode of Seinfeld and getting ready to absentmindedly pay scant attention to Scrubs. Can't complain one bit. I love the holidays.
I got what I wanted for Christmas... a couple hundred bucks from the parents for… Continue

I've never really been a true traditionalist when it comes do disc. I just play, hopefully try to get better, and try to play courses when the weather and the time permits.
The last two years has been quite different. There are a lot of folks in the amateur wrestling world that throw disc. One of which is two-time NCAA champion Ben Askren -- me and a buddy played a round in Virginia Beach (Pungo course) last year and now this year -- it was another All-American that joined the… Continue

Disregard anything I said about not having league on Christmas Day (don't worry, nobody hit the ace). Nutty called me at about 5 o'clock and said that there were a few people who wanted to play. Those that know me well can attest to the fact that I am [almost] always prepared. As I stepped out of my garage I knew that the conditions would be perfect for night golf. It was snowing very lightly, there was no wind, and gloves weren't even necessary (temps were in the mid… Continue

I am the wife of JohnE McCray and I enjoy walking around with my husband at tournaments as his caddy. I get to watch some of the best disc golf the world has ever seen up until October 18th to present date.
October 18th ( a day I will never forget) I had to put my husband in the hospital and leave him in the hospital for two weeks. He was a very sick person. Watching such an active person lay in a bed for two weeks in such pain will try every emotion you have in your body! Without the… Continue

One thing about shifting up to the Open Division is that it seems to have changed my outlook on things a tad. In October I remember I went to a few unsanctioned and D-Tier level tournaments when I was still in Advanced. I looked at them like any other tournament, just hoping to play as hot as I can and win as many discs as I could to swing back around and sell. Now I'm looking at an unsanctioned tournament on January 1st. All I can think about is how few top pros are likely to be there. I'm… Continue
