This weekend I won my first PDGA sanctioned tourney, playing Intermediate! It was the Old Settler's Open at Prairie Center Park in Olathe, KS--a one-day C-tier on 9/4/10. I had never played the course before, but the prospect of playing a Dynamic Discs Tourney at a new course led me to drive the 2+ hours each way to play. Boy, was that drive worth it. Well I took part in my first official tournament last Sunday at Milo, in Estacada, OR. It is normally a 27 hole course, but for tournaments they make it into a 36 hole course. My first round was 85 on the west side of the course, and 82 on the east side. Both the east and the west courses were a par 60.



I started out trying to hard, I was not driving very accurately, and my putting was not bad with in 15 feet of the basket. I'm not saying that I drive very accurate to start with, but… Continue
