All Hollows Heave

I was in my first real tourny this weekend out at Ammon Ranch here in Humboldt County, All Hollows Heave. What a great tourny to start with. I met people from all over the state and country, including a guy who was a disc golfer from Bowling Green KY, and if I remember right, the president of a disc golf club there. He was saying that it was the funnest tourny that he had attended, and was talking about trying to move out here, that the courses were that cool (there is a reason that Dave… Continue

So-Hum Paradise

Yesterday I got to play a private course in Southern Humboldt that blew my mind, Birds of Paradise. This course was amazing, lefts, rights, ups, downs, tightly wooded, open fields (but never flat open fields), HUGE elevation change, lots of alternates and tons of room for expansion. I could see why I had herd varrying reviews from diffrent people I knew who had played the course, as there were varying reviews in my group. I loved it, despite the wind. It starts out with a walk up a huge hill and a… Continue

Lost Discs, New Friends, New Archangels?

Over the last two weeks I have lost 4 discs, 3 of wich were some of my favorite discs (2 Archangels and a champ valkyrie). I lost 3 of them out in the Redwood Curtain and one out in Willow Creek. I still have not heard anything about the 3 in the curtain, but the one in Willow Creek was found by a local player up there. He found it while looking for his disc in some thick brush, but it wasn't the hole I lost it on, so someone out there was playing with my disc and lost it again (karma you could… Continue
