This year's proto is unique and sweet, and we think you're going to love it! It's the widest diameter putt and approach model Discraft has ever offered, so it can legally weigh in at a hefty 183 grams (subject to PDGA approval)... that's at least a full seven grams more than other putters! The disc is obedient to its master and goes where you throw it, delivering directional precision and soft, flat landings. The rim is beadless and feels great in your hand. Think of it as a shorter,… Continue

I played the OD Tours final event this weekend at Screaming Heads in Burks Falls, Ontario. This setting is the most amazing temp course I have had the privilege playing in my short disc golf adventure. The fall colors of northern Ontario, the morning crisp and clear, a touch of frost on the ground, the sun is shining with not a hint of rain in the forecast, you couldn't have asked for a better day for flying some disc. The tournament start off by me playing my normal not so good golf, par par… Continue

Hiestand Park - Madison, WI
September 17, 2009
Prior to this summer, I played disc golf sparingly and very recreationally. Because of this, I have not had as many exciting experiences as long-time frolfers, but today was a new day...
After playing 18 at Vallarta-Ast just down the road earlier in the day, I arrived at Hiestand Park just off Milwaukee St. in Madison hoping to improve on my last score and to snatch that ever elusive first… Continue

So I hit my second Ace yesterday and the wierd thing is, it took less time for me to get this one with the lefty than it did with my dominant right arm. ?!?!?! Although now it looks like I will forever be a Lefty. My throw somehow seems less complicated now and my right elbow is still hurtin.

I started playing recreational disc golf around the age of 17, thanks to a friend of mine Al. Allan Beasley would instruct me whether I liked it or not (thanks Al), I've also had a whole lot of other great players to learn from (i.e. Tim Skellenger, Jerry and Brody Miller, Sean Phillips, Ladd Klink, Ty Baker, Jeramie Lankins are some of the names). In my beginning frolfing years I would just go out for fun with the guys, but then my pops signed me up for my first competitive tournament, the… Continue

I got my 4th ace on Friday out at Horse Mountain. My first throw of the day on hole 14 (we have two diffrent ways to play this course) with my Star TL, I sent it straight down the fairway and right into the pin. I had a couple of friends with me who had just started disc golfing and they had never seen an ace before, so they didn't quite know why I was so happy. This was my second ace with that TL so I decided before I f&*k it up and send my disc off into the woods I retired it. Now I need… Continue

I got my first ace yesterday, 06/09/08 7:11pm at the Redwood Curtain here in Arcata on hole 4. For those not in the know hole 4 curves to the right, around a big burned out stump. I threw my 148 Archangel straight and hard with a tiny bit of Anhyzer it curved perfictly around and slamed into the tonepole with a mighty clang. I ran around the corner and some guys that were putting on 9 said they saw it slam. This was 3 years in the making, after so many close calls and near misses it was an… Continue
