Dookies Disc Review

I am pretty much your average disc golfer. I am 45, 6'2", 238lbs, and I played baseball growing up on into college as a pitcher. I stayed active into my mid 30's, but my job put me at a desk and having kids stopped my athletic activities. I also tore my left ACL and have yet to have it fixed.

OK Powerhouse Devan Owens Joins the D

Now in his early 20s, Oklahoma's Devan Owens has a lot of tournament experience for his age. He first competed in PDGA events in 2004, and was a Jr. World Champion the following year. Today he's a 1027-rated powerhouse who won an NT earlier this year and has a long and promising dg career ahead of him. Welcome to Team D.

Doss, Hokom Sweep Final NT of 2011

Nate Doss is boss and Sarah Hokom is smokin! As the season winds down, Team D is steamrolling. Energized from his 3rd World Championship title last month, Nate Doss headed to Leicester, MA to win the year's final NT event by 3 shots. Fresh off her NT win in Pittsburgh, Sarah Hokom came from behind in the final round to notch her 3rd NT win on the season. Outstanding!

Congrats Paige Pierce, Pro Rookie of the Year

Team D's Paige Pierce of Plano, Texas wins the PDGA Female Rookie of the Year: With a dominating performance in 2010, Paige pretty much had the honor wrapped up by Worlds. Her stats were so good for her pro rookie season that she just missed making it as one of the top seven finalists for the Female Player of the Year award.

The award will be presented in August at Pro Worlds in Santa Cruz. Congrats!…

2010 Ace Race prototype approved, named

Welcome to the hive, Hornet! The disc is now approved for PDGA tournament play, and Ace Race copies are legal. Please spread to the word to other Ace Race players.

Hornet will be released to the general public soon; we plan on running the production version in Z plastic with a max weight of 178 grams.

The ESP (Ace Race) version has been given a stability rating of 2.0.
