We have been promoting submitting written contributions about disc golf to www.2009congress.olympic.org for the past 2 months. A huge thank you goes to everyone that participated. Since the deadline has passed for that event we are now launching our Olympic disc golf petition mission into action. Our online petition at www.petitiononline.com/discgolf has had great success since its creation last September.… Continue

We just finished an interview with Mark Ellis. If you watch one of his Discraft videos, read one of his discussion forum posts or chat with him on discgolfersr.us, you’ll find he’s passionate, competitive, well spoken and deeply involved in many levels of the game.
I just wanted to thank a few people that have already helped by donating discs Dave, who also threw an Ace the day he donated his discs Hole 11 Morley, Randy&Allison, Eric S., Kent, Wesley, Scott..... thanks Sage

Super-bright LEDs are great but I find that taping these to a coin cell is problematic. Also it makes the disc under-stable. I would like to see a if anyone out there has found any innovation worth trying.
Febuary 11th and 68 degrees in Pennsylvania! Awesome! Merrill and Juddy Crink were actually wearing shorts and t-shirts. We were playing the Stretch R Out format, par 60 at Mushroom Manor Mini Disc GC in Lancaster. Merrill started his round with three O.B.s in a row! That really sucks but just goes to show that "Anything can happen at the Manor." even for the best mini player I know. When we got to the tee of hole 5 Merrrill was at the back of the card throwing last. I threw a… Continue

We heard back about one of sponsor requests today. It wasnt good news unfotunately. Pepsi regretfully informed us that they would not be able to be part of our upcomming disc golf petition tour. Its not the end of the world though. We have many other proposals out that we are waiting for a response on, and we are going to prepare a few more to send out as well. If any disc golfers out there knows a company we should try please post it as a comment and we will check into it.
Our written… Continue
It wasn't suppose to snow today but 2 1/2 inches fell anyway. Seems to be the winter way around south central PA. Lancaster winter weather seems to be on the edge of lots of snow or nothing but slush and muck! Today was snow. You've got to love to play disc golf while it's snowing. Big or small disc golf, it's always a blast. Juddy, better known as Crink, showed up in his $250.00 Audi that smells like "old" from 15 feet away. We played the original… Continue

I started playing recreational disc golf around the age of 17, thanks to a friend of mine Al. Allan Beasley would instruct me whether I liked it or not (thanks Al), I've also had a whole lot of other great players to learn from (i.e. Tim Skellenger, Jerry and Brody Miller, Sean Phillips, Ladd Klink, Ty Baker, Jeramie Lankins are some of the names). In my beginning frolfing years I would just go out for fun with the guys, but then my pops signed me up for my first competitive tournament, the… Continue

However we are just getting started so please keep those signatures comming in at http://www.petitiononline.com/discgolf/petition.html We also held another live Olympic disc golf petition signing this past weekend at the tournament in Tyler Tx, and it was a huge success. I just wanted to let my discgolfersR.us friends know that I've opened a new ALL DISC GOLF store (currently with 19 different Product Lines and nearly 1000 items to select from). Some pretty cool stuff (I like the "Steal Your Chains", "Use Your Head" and "Robot Launcher" items) - check it out at:
The post on the main page of discgolfersR.us got me thinking about spreading the sport. This is a difficult time of year to recruit new participants, as a lot of us go into hibernation. Furthermore, the skeptics are usually pretty unlikely to brave near-freezing weather to get a taste of what disc golf has to offer.
Still, I just hate the thought that I have to go dormant just because the season isn't conducive to outdoor activities (aside from your various sledding and snowman… Continue
If you haven't already, click the link above and sign the petition to get Disc Golf added to the US Olympics. If they're going to let Badminton into the games, then why not Disc Golf? Let's get some recognition here.
Ugh...getting colder. I haven't played enough this year. I'm almost ashamed of myself. I try to get around to all the local courses once each year (and there are many), but I fell very… Continue
