Driving meltdown

I'm currently down to throwing 330-350 at best and with little accuracy. I'm not sure what's happening if it's a failure in technique or aging catching up with me (I'm 38). This past weekend was the first set of field sessions in ages where I didn't break 360'. I threw one 358 with my flippiest SL. It just kept drifting right and floating. Oh, I also gave myself a blood blister at my main rip point on my index finger. All my drivers are going about this distance unless I have a big form… Continue

I got a Piranha!

A friend on here told me a friend of his had one and my fiance bought it for me. I can't believe he paid that for it, but he wanted to and I love him for it. Well for lots of other things, but that was sweet lol. I've played with it once ... have to get used to it again. I've only played with it once 'cause my fiance and I got in a bad fight and he hasn't been home in almost 2 weeks. It's pretty bad and I'm really messed up over it, but I hope things work out. I mean, if things don't work out,… Continue

How much money would you pay to get a favorite, lost and discontinued disc back?

My favorite disc was my 1993, Innova DX plastic Pirahna. I didn't know how much it weighed 'cause the number was worn off when I found it at the bottom of a pond a few years ago. But it was about 170-178 grams I would say. This was the only putter I used, I sunk so many nice putts with it, and some pretty difficult ones too. I sunk a 45 foot putt, curving around 3 trees with it once! It was an uphill shot too, it was nice. Well my boyfriend lost it the other day at Penn Valley, in the… Continue

My first outing of "09...

I haven't played since shortly before the first snowfall here in central Wisconsin. Now, I know a lot of you brave the arctic temperatures and potential frostbite to keep that plastic flying. You brave souls have my respect. Admittedly, I'm not so ballsy. The cold is not my friend, but I'd definitely "man up" if that was all there was to it. Unfortunately, there's still three feet of snow on the ground to contend with. The wet and the cold aside, I DO NOT want to walk off the course with less… Continue

A chain out, and I lost my 12x

Well,

I went and played at Kentwood Park near NC State yesterday. I managed to get a round in finishing with 45 strokes. I got greedy and decided to play another 9 holes. On the second round in I managed to not focus on Hole #3 because a group of 5 people told me I could play through. Hole 3 is a small 220 ft hole with O.B. Creek on the left. Stupid me, just grabbed the 12x KC Pro Aviar and hurried my drive. The creek is usually pretty shallow but the disc managed to find the deepest… Continue
