As many of you know, last Saturday, June 20th, two baskets were stolen from Weatherford DGC.
At this time we only have 174.00 in our course fund due to the recent transfer of over two thousand dollars for cement teeboxes. We cannot afford the replacement costs at this time so instead of the normal mini on Saturday, July 4th, we will be running a fundraising mini.
This will be a singles event with the ace pot in effect, along with CTP's. We will try to have CTP's for all eighteen holes… Continue

I would like to thank all my friends and family for thier support during my recovery from a pretty severe fall that could have been alot worse than it was. For those who do not know, I fell 12 feet out of a tree I was trimming on the Beaver Creek Mini Disc Golf Course on March 30,2009. Yes I also had a running chainsaw in my hand at the time. On the way down, I threw the chainsaw, Hit my ladder, hit the side bed of my truck and landed on my left side with a pretty good thump. I had the wind… Continue

Febuary 11th and 68 degrees in Pennsylvania!
Awesome! Merrill and Juddy Crink were actually wearing shorts and t-shirts. We were playing the Stretch R Out format, par 60 at Mushroom Manor Mini Disc GC in Lancaster. Merrill started his round with three O.B.s in a row! That really sucks but just goes to show that "Anything can happen at the Manor
." even for the best mini player I know. When we got to the tee of hole 5 Merrrill was at the back of the card throwing last. I threw a… Continue

It wasn't suppose to snow today but 2 1/2 inches fell anyway. Seems to be the winter way around south central PA. Lancaster winter weather seems to be on the edge of lots of snow or nothing but slush and muck! Today was snow. You've got to love to play disc golf while it's snowing. Big or small disc golf, it's always a blast. Juddy, better known as Crink, showed up in his $250.00 Audi that smells like "old" from 15 feet away. We played the original… Continue

Well, like always, something good to talk about happens at Mushroom Manor Mini Disc Golf Course, and last night was no exception. It was cold, bitter cold. The temperature was 21 degrees with a wind chill of ZERO. Don't worry mini players are tuff and smart....usually. lol Before we got started Tobin Hurtt and I shot some video of the course and tried to give a small discription of the different kinds of minis we use. We had a little trouble because our hands got so cold they hurt within one… Continue

Today is going to be the beginning of a year long blog descibing and sharing the fun and excitement of mini disc golf. Tonight is the first Mushroom Manor Monthly of the year. The temps at tee time will be in the low 20s. A dusting of snow fell overnight. I am sure all players will be serious about their score since it is a fresh start to the new year. Merrill Dertweiler is the man to beat. Merrill is hands down the best mini disc golfer I know. My sights are on him. Stay tuned… Continue

I have started discussions on having a Mini Disc Golf Challenge between the American and Canadian Mini Disc Golfers. This Tournament will be hosted at the Beaver Creek Mini Disc Golf Course in Lancaster Couny, Pennsylvania, USA. and be an MDGF sanctioned event. It will be a several day event, covering a couple of our permanent Mini Disc Golf Courses and a Safari round at the Beaver Creek Course. I am looking to have maybe $1000.00 in prizes and cash awards, paying the top 40% of the field. It… Continue
