Team D's Paige Pierce of Plano, Texas wins the PDGA Female Rookie of the Year: With a dominating performance in 2010, Paige pretty much had the honor wrapped up by Worlds. Her stats were so good for her pro rookie season that she just missed making it as one of the top seven finalists for the Female Player of the Year award.

The PDGA is adding a new class for events.
This is pretty exciting news for the shorter courses in my area that don't get many events. I'd think that this will encourage many more women and non-PDGA members to give PDGA events a try.

Not to say that unemployment is not good for one's golf game, but I have to admit to feeling a bit damaged after being laid off by my company, Yahoo! earlier this week.
