Takin' a break in Fargo. Almost didn't wake up in time (10:43am) to extend my room for tonight. Nothing much to actually do today..car is almost cleaned out. I need to get a haircut possibly. Laundry. Sleep some more, stay off the knees.

Is where I am at now, haven't tossed yet in North Dakota and won't be tomorrow, except maybe some putts if I was smart. I need a day off for the knee and to re-focus, clean out car, get tires balanced, a/c checked or fixed, oil change and plan for the week ahead. I met Cody Weber real briefly, he scootered up to the course to get my pic right after I pulled in this morning. He had to go to work..sucks..

I am gonna have to take a day off of playing rounds sometime this week to let my arms and legs rest, clean up and plan for the week ahead. This past week I played more courses than ever before in one week..44.
South Dakota's state park system is really getting into DG..they have pamphlets highlighting their 12 courses, all so far are well marked, clean well mowed and only 3$/day.
Sioux Falls, SD- Tuthill:
Begins on the top of a large hill, with a mix of thick woods and… Continue

My expensive hotel's internet is not working, so I'm stuck using my phone which just barely has a signal, and I came here for the free high speed. They will have their hands full in the morning dealing with me. The last hour was wasted on that. I made it into South Dakota, for the first time ever.
Another hour (almost) was wasted trying to find a course today. Someone didn't even put the right highway in the directions, or the name of the park itself, leaving me to find it by guess-work… Continue

Yet another brief brief brief posting..I played 9 rounds today so not much brain power or energy left. This post will be beyond basic, it'd take 30-45 minutes to write them all up and I need to go to sleep.
Hos- if you're out there doing your tour, stay safe and have fun. Your course count was the reason I wanted to tour after all.
Lincoln, NE- Tierra (Scott Whitcomb Mem.):
Dual cement, good signs, very tight and in deep woods with grass growing IN THE WOODS. Not… Continue

"You can't beat your kids"- GOD
I saw that on the highway today, I didn't know GOD was so frank.
Kearney, NE- Centennial:
Short and extremely open, you have to try to hit a tree. Lush grass, manicures basket areas, asphalt tees, most tees marked but some broken. You only need a putter, maybe one mid for the 280' hole. Plays near playground, pool and road.
Kearney, NE- Cottonmill:
Beautiful and manicured, plays through deep woods, fields and over water with… Continue

I made it into Nebraska tonight, but did not play any courses here yet. I almost decided to camp for free at Beloit, wish I had known ahead that I could (will add to directory), but I didn't because no stores nearby were open and it was only 1:00 when I finished there. I aced #5 at Elmwood park, with the same firebird as last week's ace, almost wide open 260'ish hole. Big thanks to Don Mordecai of the Norton club for the Norton Club stamped disc!

Well any chance of getting to 1,000 first is gone, there goes goal #2 (first was most courses ever but that's probably gone soon too). Maybe I will try to set the record for most goals unfulfilled.
Mulvane, KS- Alan John Memorial:
Very nicely kept, small neighborhood park bordering the backyards of some homes, and a creek with steep sides. Well mowed, clean, nothing overgrown and no rough. Many different trees, most medium sized, including pine, mulberry and apple. There are… Continue

Literally, on the way to Wichita I got pelted with large hail on the highway, everyone was slamming their brakes but it only lasted a few seconds. One course I played today is my favorite of Kansas so far, and all were above-average, so I'm glad I headed south.
Saline, KS- Lakewood:
As soon as I pulled in i KNEW I had played this course before, and I was right. I played it back in 2006 and forgot to record it, but I decided to play it anyway. It is two 9 hole courses one called… Continue

Today I began in Topeka, running into a guy (Travis) on the 7th holes of my first round, and joined him because I couldn't figure out the course all that easily. I then followed him to the other course, we stopped by at LSDiscs first, and Nils came out to join us for the round at Lake Shawnee.
Topeka, KS- Crestview:
Extremely flat, like you'd expect of Kansas. All but one hole are open in a large field, dotted with large mature trees with wide and low branches. Most… Continue
