farewell to fly/happy anniversary....

Foreward : last year I kinda gave my wife the business when she forgot about our anniversary.

I returned from a busy day at work to our snow bound home clueless to the fact that today was our anniversary. An empty home left me wondering what to do with myself. "Me" time is a rarity in my life since we have three young kids. Decided to shovel out the thick wall of snow created by plows recent drive-by. In Ypsilanti we just received over 10" of fresh snow just in time for Christmas.… Continue

Worlds '08- Victory park, Albion- spectating and huking!

Finally got to get out to some of the '08 worlds. Took my kids Ethan and Olivia to Albion, MI on Thursday to watch the pros play a newer course that I had heard was great.

Pulled into the parking lot as all of the A pool was finishing up. Must've misread the schedule. After getting over my initial disappointment of missing the world's best players I wondered what I was going to do until Pool B teed off at 2pm. Luckily I had put my bag in the car and decided to play the course until… Continue

2nd ace and personal best!

Thursday (8/7/08) I went out to Hudson Mills for a fun day with my 4 year old son, Ethan, and 2 year old Olivia. Ethan was excited to be bringing his new DGA bag! Initially I was thinking about playing the original course but I decided to ask Ethan which course he wanted to play.......what four year old wouldn't prefer to play a course by the name of "the monster"...... I decided short tees would be tiring enough for their little legs.

the round started solidly with four birdies on… Continue

finally.......first ace.

Well after starting to wonder whether it was ever going to happen.....I finally got my first ace!!! (although..... no witnesses.....I know this will discredit it in some eyes).

My in-laws offered to take my kids for the day Friday. I met "grandma" halfway at 7 mile and Haggerty. I decided to play Cass-Benton since it is right there and I don't think that I had played it at all in '08. weekdays are still crazy busy there!!!

Hit the ace on#15( 217' sharp downhill thru a… Continue

Got to cheer on some pals....great work Nik Beats, Pat Burke, and Trevor Thorp. Congrats go to Daemon for that super hot 53 to come outta nowhere to win......Great… Continue

Leopard located!

I retrieved my star leopard for the second time after losing it on the same hole.....

Got this great sky blue star 175gm leopard with a real cool U.N.C. custom stamp that I got as payout from "bark at the moon". A great glow tournament hosted at Vienna Park by TADGA. Ever since the first throw I have had a kinship with this disc. I throw it on a lot of the shorter holes at my home course Rolling Hills.

It has also managed to get "lost" twice on the same hole. Number 15 at… Continue

bandamer winter wonderland

Just got back from the most amazing lunch break nine(1/2/08) at bandamer. The recent winter storm left a bunch of heavy wet snow covering everything!!!! Baskets were enveloped in snow muting the sounds of the chains. The fairways are completely changed due to all the limbs being bent down. Even the path from 6 to 7 was a long bent-over crawl. Anyone gets a chance get out and play there today! No lost discs. bring good snow boots, gaiters, etc.
