I am home on leave in Michigan and have disc'd at least once every day since I have been home. I played league the last two days. I won Ludington's league last night and got myself a new disc. I am playing flip city tonight and trying to get that ace pool money and see a bunch of old friends. Tournament saturday in Big Rapids, three leagues next week, and Flip City Tournament the next Sunday. Then South Cacillac bound.

Hit a completely blind 305 foot ace yesterday on hole #7 at lake wichita park in wichita falls, TX. I am calling it beyond luck and completely BS but I will takeit regardless. I used a 172 Z Avenger SS and threw a big high Anhyzer over a bunch of Texas trees (AKA no fairway) and managed to squeeze through some pines and land in the basket. Mood is happy. PLaying a Tourney in Arlington this weekend, cant wait!!!

I havent thrown a disc in almost four months now. The first thing I want to see is my wife, the second is my new puppy, and then I want to see a disc fly, even if it means throwing one off into the swamp or woods behind my apartment and never seeing it again. I look forwad to seeing everyone at the tournaments coming up this spring and chucking some plastic. I wish I could play this weekend in Raleigh as that is a great tourney with great people. So I was in second place in advanced at crooked creek heading into the last round. I shot decent rounds of 54,53,52 in that order leading up to round 4. Then the blow up of a lifetime occured. I made the mistake of worrying about the people behind me and not just playing. I caught a few really bad breaks but that doesnt excuse the fact that I had the wrong frame of mind. I played a tourney this weekend and completely could not put for poop. and still placed 6 of 15 in advanced. Luckily GWB gave me 600 hundred dollars to stimulate the economy which I interpreted as the disc golf economy( as if there is any other), and ordered a sexy Mach III with a wheeled base. It needs to get here now because my putting went to hell since I joined the military and pretty much quit practicing.

So I aced hole 4 tonight at Earlwwod. It is a little downhill dinker, but finally an Earlwood Ace!!! It was ace #11 and the same forehand shot I always throw which almost always gets an easy bird. This time it got me a ton of chains and a final basket resting place, plus a nice little $23 paycheck which is always a good kicker. So I used to be a 947 rated player on my way up quickly and then the military happened and I dont play everyday and I blamed that for awhile... The truth is I did play alot but I ALSO PRACTICED PUTTING AND DRIVING A LOT ALMOST EVERY DAY! Yesterday I shot 10 down at earlwood and I didnt make any puts outside 15 feet. I had to work on jets today so I didnt get to defend my Sayde's Memorial Advanced title, which is actually sanctioned this year. Oh well... I guess I will just go play some disc golf at Earlweezy now instead since I just got off work and after the drive I can still get two rounds in easy like sunday morning.
