Yesterday was a great day. I got to make it out to Bud Hill in Memphis Tennessee for the first time. The course is gorgeous and there is a little 9 hole course there that is just as fun as the main course. It is absolutely breathtaking.
But now for the best part of the day. A friend of mine and his wife met me out there. I also had my fiance with me. Yesterday was her first day to ever play disc golf. All four of us had a blast. Angela enjoyed playing and made some new friends as… Continue

Well it has been quite some time since I have sat down and done a Blog post. So here we go. Yesterday I got the chance for my first Doubles play. It was not in a tournament or even for tags, but for fun, and fun it was. My partner and I shot 2 rounds together and shot 1 down both rounds. We played well off each other. We had a few shots that could have been better but over all we shot pretty well. All in all it was a great experience and I am looking forward to the next time I get to play dubs.

Well to set the stage, it was gorgeous out today, upper 50's and sun beaming down. Got out to Pickwick Plantation and did some warm up putts. Started off the round Par Par Bird. Shot great till hole 8 and closed out the front 9 +2. Hit the back nine and found my snap.
Great one would think. Snap is a great thing to have. That is unless your bag is mostly under stable discs. I am actually thrilled that I found my snap. But I now have to look into new Discs. I know what I am going to… Continue

Well I got my putting in today. Traveled down to Tishomingo to the State Park, and shot a round. It was a blast because I felt so confident in my putting. Before the round did some warm up putting practice and showed some impressive putting on the course. Even saved par with a 20 footer.
So I can honestly say I did my putting today.

I got a chance to go out to the home course and shoot a round today. All that putting practice has paid off. I shot a solid 64 with absolutely no double bogeys. I was very pleased all around with my drives mid and putting. I pared more holes than I did bogey. I hit no deuces but that is ok. It will come in due time. So until next time,
Peace Love and Bangin Chains

It has taken a few days to get this post up due to a hectic schedule. I played my third scored outing on Saturday in a tournament at Pickwick Plantation. I played in the Novice division and took 4th out of six. I held steady to my round average on both rounds. I threw a 66 on round one which was down 2 strokes from the first round of my last post and threw a 72 on round 2 of the day which was up 1 stroke from round 2 of my last post. So overall I managed to throw one stroke down from my last… Continue

Well I finally get to give every one the update they want. I got out today and got to play rounds 2 and 3. So I pushed through 36 holes of play. I did not shoot too shabby. On the 1st round I ever shot the score was an 81, today I shot round 2 a 61 with a total of 7 pars, too bad I could not add a birdie to that, and round 3 a 71 with 7 pars as well. I had a shot for a birdie and the disc bounced off the chains and I got the par. The Gateway Prototype disc that I purchased was a great disc, for… Continue

Well I have not got to get out and play a round yet cause of work and dentist appointments, but I have gotten the opportunity to throw some out across the street from me, I have thrown both my Avenger and my Element Prototype.
I only have about 220 feet to work with so I at least know that I can throw that consistently with both discs. I have confidence that I will be able to do better than that once I have more room to throw. I have been practicing thumbers and tomahawks as well and… Continue

Well I am very new to the game of Disc Golf. I am so new in fact that I have only played one round and owned no disc's.
After playing the first time I was hooked. I immediately started watching videos and reading up on things. I may not have a whole lot of playing time under my belt but I am getting some good tips and tricks from all the studying that I am doing. Anyway so I purchased two disc's from E-bay. One is an X-Element S-Series Prototype and the other an Avenger Pro-D. I just got… Continue
