The Community of Disc Golfers and About All Things Disc Golf

In the style of Christopher Guest, who brought you "Best in Show," "Spinal Tap," and more. "Frolf the movie" is a mocumentary that explores the lives of competing players the week prior to a disc golf tournament. Every character in this movie represents people that I have come across in the 15 years of playing ( 7 years competing.) There are beginners, pros, amateurs, frat boys, hippies, tourists and more. After years of dedication to the sport it is time for a small tribute, or "roast" if you will. "Nice Up" Productions gives you "FROLF the movie!"

Once again, thanks for taking the time to watch. Just keep checking in on the website to learn when the finished product is available. I mean no ill intent towards the disc golfing community, hence the name, "FROLF." The style I shot in resembles that of a Christopher Guest movie, He made "Best in Show," and "Waiting for Guffman." They are mocumentary's that teach an audience about a relatively unknown topic, while at the same time poke fun at the nuances that surround their passion. If it gets as much of a response as you are taking the time to give, good or bad, then I will be happy. And to clarify. The pins are being stolen prior to the tournament. The culprit is actually competing in the tournament, and an undercover competitor is trying to weed him out before the end of the competition. The movie is a comedy. Please keep visiting the website!

I figured you would say something like "how many movies did you ever do ?" Well first of all i am not making any and remember you ASKED for peoples opinions. Dont go crying sour grapes when someone says what you dont want to hear. Why would you have someone trying to steal pins while a tournament is going on ? Why did you put a lame sexual reference in the one trailer ? Why do you show a bunch of clowns trying to play and have one guy purposely fall down after throwing on a tee pad. It makes it look dumb . If you think by watching that trailer or movie that a non dicgolfer would actually want to give the game a try afterwards then you are delirious.

Well, thanks for watching anyway. This story does involve a group of characters competing in the tournament while at the same time someone is stealing the pins to the course. I am trying to reach an audience beyond the limited eyes of the disc golf world, so other aspects of life will be in the movie. I am excited to see the videos you come up with! Thanks.

I did not like it either at all. I actually thought it was brutal to watch. I am being honest . Both vids were about 2 minutes long but yet they seemed like they were 10 minutes long because i just wanted them to end. At the beginning of the longer video you show several "loser " types trying to play and in the shorter video you show someone trying to steal baskets. At other times during the videos you show stuff that has nothing to do with disc golf. In closing i would say that i hope you are not serious about the frolf movie because the trailers were beyond bad. I took the time to look at some other vids you have done about frolf and i really think it is equivalent of what a 10 year old kid would come up with. If my name were on it i would be embarrassed.

No worries Duh, this is a professional group of actors and film makers behind this film. The movie is for everyone, even the dic golfers who can't take a joke. I have played for over 15 years now and competed in the sport for over 7 of those years. I cover every aspect of the game, including the zany people it attracts, because after-all, we are all characters. Keep checking the site for updates, thanks for watching!

I would never Judge. Once again, thanks for watching. There is a Miami festival I am aiming to enter in in the late summer. Then, one in Tampa this fall. I will keep you posted. Please, spread the word...Frolf the movie.com!
