The Community of Disc Golfers and About All Things Disc Golf
I have found that Karma in disc golf is very real. Last Wednesday, my wife and I were about to start a round at Reed Canal Park and she finds a $20 on the tee pad. I throw it in the bag with my discs and figured I'll use it on Thursday to pay for league doubles. Just as we were finishing our round, a girl comes up and asks if we found a $20 and we were able to give this girl back her money.
On to Thursday. Joined in on the league doubles at Reed and won. I got $10 for winning, plus I was the only one to hit metal for the ace pool so I got another $13, plus a CTP for a Bike Week shirt. So I give $20 dollars back to someone and get $23 and shirt. Not bad.
Now for some more Karma. On Friday, over at Tuscawilla Park, I shanked my Nuke into the woods. While I'm looking for my disc, I came across a almost new Star Wraith without a name or number on it no more than 10 feet from my Nuke.
Now for Saturday. At Tusc again and I see a disc in a tree. When I get a little closer, there are 3 discs in the same tree. I was able to get all 3 with my trusty extension pole. One has a name and number and 2 do not. I called the number and will be able to return the disc to the rightful owner this Thursday. We moved on to Reed Canal again on Saturday and played double with a couple of guys and it turned out the Star Wraith I found belong to one of them.
So to add it all up. I found $20 and gave it back. I won $23 and a shirt. Found 4 discs and returned 2 of them to the rightful owners. Cash, shirt and 2 discs. Karma pays you back for doing the right thing.
