The Community of Disc Golfers and About All Things Disc Golf

About 4 months ago, I had recently heard of a new sport happening everywhere, and it was blowing up fast! This sport was called disc golf, the greatest game that i would soon every play. Before actually buying some discs and finding a local course to go play, I quickly got on my laptop! I began searching every little thing i could about disc golf, the best discs to buy, and all that good stuff! I even acted like a loser for a few hours just watching disc golf tournaments, tips, and even the aces! I finally thought it was time to go out and buy some, so I did, and I found the most relaxed course i've played yet! At first I was terrible, hitting all the trees, and it flying the wrong way, and releasing problems. But I think the biggest thing that i really love about Disc Golf is that its a game that you can pick up on so quickly, have a great time with friends playing it, and get hooked on the first time you play! After my first time of playing it i decided that it was time to look up the different discs to find out what they are designed to do, and once all of that was figured out i felt a lot more confident about my game! So now every pay check, im either buying discs or buying a disc golf basket or something related to the sport! My dream is to become pro in this sport, for the last short 4 months this is the game that i never want to stop playing! Hope this was interesting to all that read it! :)

wford core plays sunday 8am... sent you a PM *friend invite* with my contact info... we usually hit up wford 1-2 times a month, then the other times either hit zboaz, turner, or somewhere else in the dfw... would love having another person joining up with us for sundays... always a good time to be had, and we all have came fairly close friends...

I just started playing about 3 months ago I wish i would have done the research on discs like you did before I started. The only place that i could find that sold discs only carried Quest. I brought a Raging Inferno DT, a Rock-it, and a 10M Crossfire. bad selection of discs except for the Rock-it. But I went out and had a blast but after playing with some local people definitely realized that I needed some new discs. I now have about 25 discs other then the Quest discs but still need more. Researching the discs before you buy is a great idea but I absolutely need to throw a disc for a couple rounds to see if I like it.

oh sweet sweet, that makes me feel a lot better, well i have a dream of becoming pro someday, but my friends that i play with take it as a joke, so I really need to play with people that have a passion for the sport, like me!

welcome, i'm a year in and 5 tournaments played, about 15 minis and went thru 30 innova discs to settle on about 30 discraft discs, 6 latitude 64s and now 8 gateway putters,... no more innova. i carry 14 in a crunch bag, 1 flick, 2 nukes, 2 preds, 2 surges, 2 rivers, 2 visions, 1 buzzz and 2 gateway putters, voodoo and wizard. i'm finally happy after a year, and have every shot needed in my bag, good luck!!
