no stress!!! haha.
I've entered 2 tournaments this year since I am employed again and had to back out of both of them at the last minute due to injuries. so this time I haven't played in a week and I'm not playing the doubles today.
I think I can survive 2 rounds tomorrow :)
I think it's for a good cause tomorrow and I helped put in the baskets at Turner park so maybe some good luck will come my way. so yeah.. I'm excited about the possibilities.
and $15,00 up for grabs!! woo hoo!! I know it's a one shot hole kinda deal, but thats still enough to get a person excited.
plus Don Q is cooking lunch and he always does an awesome job . He's a great ambassador for the sport as well.
oh, and a shout out to Funkeytown Flyers for donating $3000 to the Arlington disc golf club to improve the course at Veterans. I started playing on that course 20 years ago and it will always be my "home " course no matter where I live.
but thats an awesome gesture by a great group of people to get the course in better shape for this years VPO, which hopefully I can make as well.
my ankle has been absolutely killing me after just 1 round of golf lately. so I hope I'm up for a 2 round day, let alone any 4 round weekend tournaments coming up.
I had pulled a muscle really bad in my left arm earlier in the year, put my arm in a sling and took a few months to heal. and then pulled a muscle in my groin playing doubles before the fling at Vet recently. at least me and randy tied for second in doubles. and I got to go spot on hole 5 for the tournament, which was actually fun.
I encourage anyone who cant play in a local tournament for whatever reason to go on out and volunteer to be a spotter or at least help the TD in any way possible. it really is worthwhile and kinda fun.
so thats my blog post for now. fly far and true all.
oh.. and wish me luck :)
