Played two rounds after school today at Expo Park, Aurora, Colorado. Much snowmelt so my feet got all wet, the discs were muddy but I had fun anway. I love how there is more daylight these days in the evenings! Started at 5:00 and it was still easy to see for 25 mintes after I finished up at 5:45. There was some wind and that kept flipping the X-Buzz I'm auditioning which is frustrating on easy birdie holes. I didn't putt particularly well either but I did run decently fast.
The stats: Ran with a Star Teebird, X-buzz and new Wizard (since I left my normal trio in my wife's car).
Round 1: 49 or -5 in around 22:00. My stopwatch didn't start so I just have to guess it. Took pars on the first 5 easy birdie holes and then birdied the hardest hole I'd had so far (go figure). 6 birdies and 1 bogey. Had an almost skip ace off the ice of the lake on hole 13. That was very cool and it was just a 20' putt for birdie!
Round 2: 50 in 22:45. Adds up to 72:45 is you count a stroke a minute. i guess I'll call it my record for now. My goal is to hit -10 or better in less than 20 minutes (<64:00). I birded 2-5 starting off and then threw OB on 6. Had to cross the creek and fish the disc out which cost me at least a minute, not to mention the bogey. Kinda fell apart after that. Just kept birdie/bogeying/parring the rest of the round. Never got better than -4 or worse than -3 the rest of the way. Kinda frustarating but oh well. I did pass a group of friends on hole 17 that I passed on hole 11 during my first round.
Threw about 25 shots lefty afterwards to try and "unwind" and work the muscles in the back the other way. Hopefully it will help my back this year, not to mention, develop the left arm a bit too.
That's all folks!
