the future of Disc Golf

A big thank you goes out to Bill Bullington and the Cotton pickin flyers for accomadating some new players that me and my buddy dylan brought over to mini tourney today. I realized something about young new players. They love to buy plastic. Lots of it. Bags, baskets. There thirst for knowledge and disc instruction is amazing!
They listen better than some stubborn older beginners. Tips fly out the other ear most of the time. I only give advice when asked. Im not one of those overload you with info type of golfers. THE POWER OF DISC GOLF LIES IN THE YOUTH. I noticed a stand out in the three newbies, my new friend Anna. She throws the disc remarkable straight for a new player, and with a little instruction about the bent elbow technique she was huckin em down the fairway, sometimes farther than the fellas. THE POWER OF DISC GOLF LIES IN THE YOUNG WOMEN OF AMERICA.
Even more important we need to realize round here that the us womens championship is coming to the tennesee valley!!! september 19th through 21st. WE HAVE 4 TO 8 WOMEN THAT PLAY? Im also showing my girlfriend and her best friend how to rip but because of there school and work schedules its harder to pick a tee time. Younger players have disposable income, time to throw, curiosity and tenaciousness.
Not to mention it makes our courses more beautiful!!! Another good point for womens disc golf, everyother sport the ladies are spit on in some way. the lpga almost had to declare bankruptcy one year!!! I guess womens soccer is an exception, oh yeah, and our sport.

So if you happen to see Anna, Houston, and Travis, help them out. Cause theres nothing better than watching someone become totally obsessed with the best game on earth!!!!

When i started playing 4 years ago I met lots of people that would give me discs they didnt use to try/keep. J.P. in particular gave me and my friends roughly 6 discs or more. I am now in a position to do this myself. I also saw Pad timmons once give a two disc player a disc for catching the fact he dropped his keys on the course. a lifesaver no doubt. So take your cousins, sisters, nephews and nieces out and throw a round.
