The Community of Disc Golfers and About All Things Disc Golf

I went to my first tourny yesterday, a secret tourny on a beach here in Humboldt county. I heard about it last minute from some golfers that I met out at the curtain, so I got a co-worker to cover for me so I could go up there for the day. It was a long drive folowed by a 4 mile hike in to try to get in by the 9:30 players meeting. It was an extremly fun event 2 rounds on a temp course on the beach, all driftwood targets with tape to mark it. Some holes were shooting off huge rock formations sticking up from the sand. I had a problem with shooting off sand teepads (hard to get good footing), but I had tons of fun anyway. The first round was random groups with the score going to determine what group you would be in for the final round. I managed to score second in my group of five for the second round, so I got back my $10 entry fee. I also managed to take the CTP hole on both my rounds, neting me a total of 6 dirty dolars. Lots of fun good Humboldt style with lots of rams, Good times, and good friends.
