Intending to play Willow Creek, North, Arcadia #2 then drive to Texarkana tomorrow.
Crowley, TX- Bicentennial:Similar and in complement with Z-Boaz, features many long, tough holes over varied terrain including flat grassy areas with a creek, and huge rocky hills and ridges. 20 long holes with elevation, wears you down. Triple tees, most of the middle set are cement. Sort of well marked with many temp. signs and a map, easy enough to follow. Fun, scenic and fairly balanced. Has a few iffy holes with no option but to throw over trees and hope to plinko down properly. Skip #9 if allergic to ivy, the entire fairway IS poison ivy, literally, other than that no problems. A few unforgettable shots, like a long 'S' along a 10' drop to a creek on the right and woods on the left. One hole crosses a creek with the bridge in the way blocking the basket, I slid off the bridge as it came down and it ended up by the basket, would have made a great video. A few big holes along a ridge in high wind, with a power tower in the way. Short tees are truly recreational, longs have many par 4 or close to.
