We've had a week of amazing weather here in Seattle, at least compared to what we often have in February. I didn't get out for DG nearly as much as I would have liked but I did make it out with my seven year old Quinn for nine holes at North Park early in the week. We drove up there to get a little exercise after his weekly violin lesson on Tuesday. Part of the way through our campaign against the front nine Lowell Shields joined us, if for nothing else than to demonstrate how to pick the course apart. It's always a pleasure to play a bit of casual golf with Lowell and happens too rarely these days.
A few days later Q and I got down to Lakewood for an abbreviated round. Quinn has been throwing his sidearm shots really well recently which has rejuvenated his zeal for the game. It always blows me away when he hits a 25-30 foot putt, usually with something like a 150 dx dragon or lightweight valk. We both scored a 7 on the long hole number twelve, my two OB's helped to level the playing field.
Today I had to drop a house guest off downtown after which I zipped up to North Park for a quick nine holes as the last bit of daylight waned. I had a chat with TC Todd, Neil, Garrett and Aaron about my idea for trying to raise some money this year to send a WA rep to the USDGC, we'll see how things pans out.
