The Community of Disc Golfers and About All Things Disc Golf

I was playing the Creekside Open in 2003. I teed off on hole 10 with my nice First Run CE Roc. I threw it hard and flat, but yanked it a little. It hit a dry patch of dirt and took a huge anti-skip right into the creek. The creek was really moving that year and I ran up just in time to see my Roc floating down stream. I was pretty devastated as it was my favorite disc. That was the last time I saw it....until today.

The story goes something like this. When the creek mellowed a bit a local found it somewhere downstream. He gave it to Scott Sharp who sold discs out of a big trailer at the time. It sat in the lost and found for a while and no one claimed it. He eventually put it up for sale. A young player bought it for $15. He threw it a little, but it was too overstable so he traded it to Mike Bachman. Since the kid blocked out my name with Sharpie Mike threw it until my name became visible. As soon as he realized it was mine he put it away. It sat in a box for the last couple of years until he finally gave it to Cory Sharp about 2 weeks ago. Cory was passing through town today and he finally returned it to me. After almost 5 years of absence it has returned to my bag. The best part is it flies better than it used to.

Haha Mad props to Cory. His 12 hour trip to vegas was worth something!

They didn't happen to find a yellow leopard? Lost it last spring during the runoff. Clipped the tree on the drive on 7, right into the (then) raging creek. D'oh!
