The first Pinconning Disc Golf Club tournamnet sponsored in part by INNOVA was a huge success. Mike Siuda had low score of the day with a 56 round after a morning round of 59. The two scores totaled a winning score for AM1. Yes, it is a tough course to score under par. Mike also won the Overnight stay & Casino Package donated from Soaring Eagle Casino by driving in the long putt on number 18. Jamie Licht took the AM2 division by 1 stroke and Guy Gill (Blizzard Hills Rat Roc disc designer) won the AM3 division. Other prizes included gas cards, free meals, discs, t-shirts and more discs from our sponsors that included Garbo/7-11 Corporate Offices, The Forwards Corporation, The J-Bird Series, P.J.'s Pizzeria, godiscn.com, Sully at Westown Groceries and The Linwood/Pinconning Chamber of Commerce. Jamie Licht took the CTP on the 230 #9 and won the disc golf bag and discs, Guy Gill had the CTP on the short tee of #17 and Craig Prime hit the #17 long tee CTP to win a great gift package from the J Bird Series and then again on #8 to win the CTP for the 50/50 prize which was handed entirely to the course owner Ward Prindle. Jim Szyperski (started playing 4 weeks ago) held the longest putt and the CTP for the 50/50 right up to the final moments of the last rounds but still ended up winning the CTP on hole #3 and also took home the estemmed CTC (closest to the crapper) on the outhouse hole #16, way to go Jim. The very 1st. Blizzard Hills Ace still remains absent so there was a throw off from the short tee on #17 to determine a winner. Craig Prime ended up closest as his O.K. shot rolled it's way within 12' of the post. Keith Aten ran a GREAT tournamnet, played a couple of great rounds and set a course record on hole #8 that will most likely remain as THE record for all eternity. When you see Keith congratulate him and have him explain the fun of playing the #8, 170' hole over the Pinconning River.

Join the group to find details and directions and plan a trip to play Michigan's newest course sometime during the summer of 2008. Believe me, this course is a gas. Expect a new 9 hole, very tight course that will require accurate placement in ALL shots.
