Best Round in Over a Year!!!!

OK, so I went to Jack Brooks and sucked it up! That's in the past.

Tracy said Victoria was the place to go! Tracy tells me Friday that she isn't feeling so well, and all the sudden I'm not either. We couldn't make work and illness was looking to take the best of our weekend, but we gathered ourselves and made the 2 hr trek to Victoria TX. I was serious about this tournament. I knew I wasn't playing Texas States and this was probably my biggest tourney of the year. Jay and Des were there so I had to do my very best, right? I cashed!!! For the first time since the 2006 32nd Annual Alabama State Championships, I cashed! I played safe golf, had a great time, got overheated, felt a little sick, stayed inbounds till the final nine, and then I still cashed! I had a great time playing with Big Lou from South (I mean way south) TX, Lou Moreno from Austin, Tony Bender from MO City area, and El Jeffe from Austin area. Best weekend we'd had since TX teams. Oh yeah, did I mention, I cashed! There were 40 people in MA2 and I placed 16th although if it hadn't been for the one OB I had for the whole tourney I could've had 8th or 9th... Oh well, I had a great time and I CASHED!!!!!!
