The community of disc golfers and about all things disc golf

Likely most of you have heard of this band, and if you haven't, you probably will soon. My cousin had the honor of filming a concert done in his area of Michigan, and then he was granted access to interview them backstage. They are known to be shy to camera interviews, so he was looking for a good ice breaker. I teased him and told him to ask them if they knew they had a following in disc golf. He asked them, and much to my surprise, they were really pleased to hear that, because many of thier songs were written on the course. My cousin said it was a great ice breaker, and the band really opened up.

You can see his interview on public broadcast stations, (I'll ask about the specifics) because the band was kind enough to allow the rights for educational viewing. My cousin, Nathan, got to use this story as an assignment for his college education, which he is nearly done with.

I guess this band is a cool group of guys, doing something that all of us here like to do. If you're not familiar with them, I suggest you download some of thier tunes; see how disc golf has inspired the music world.

might be kind of lame, but I think I'd rather see B.B. King. He's such a legend, and he can't possibly be around much longer. My husband proposed to me at a Pearl Jam concert, so I suppose I might like to see them again, too. Eddie's new stuff's pretty good.

go figure. I didn't realize discing was big in Chicago. Actually, I guess I didn't know it was big in my own town until I moved. Very cool. They're playing Bonnaroo. I so wish I had tickets to that this year. Talk about a line up!

They are from the Chicago area. I stayed at their old house were they started out last year. A disc golfer now lives in their old house.

Hm, I'm not sure which songs were written on the field. I'll ask my cousin if they named any specifically.

Great to hear. I saw them back in December 2004 at Music Farm and they had positive energy.
