The Community of Disc Golfers and About All Things Disc Golf

Well, after being sick for quite a while, a visited the doctor today to see if there is anything they could do or if it was one of those things I just had to ride out.

It turns out I was having a mid-to-severe asthma attack and that pneumonia is a concern. My doctor said that had I not come in, I probably would have had to visit the hospital due to the severity of my condition. I didn't even know I had asthma! I had it as a kid, but that was so-called "exercise induced" and went away in high school or something. Apparently, it is really common for it to go away during the teens and twenties and to come back in some cases when one is older, typically in the mid thirties.

I guess it will be a little while longer (again) until I can start throwing discs again. :-(

Hope you get better in time for Pier dubs in April. I take medication for my atrial fib and I still enjoy a good round at the course; once you figure out the proper dose you should be fine. :)
