Politics. A word that we all know, and some fear to talk about. To me, it is a word that means: one person that leads our country by doing what other people tell him/her to do. It makes no sense to me that such a small and simple question as: “Who are you voting for?” can cause two people to not want to speak to one another. It is also a word that means "I have one idea, you have another.” I am growing up in a world that I do not and probably will never understand. I will never comprehend the fact that someone can hate someone else because of the way the vote, or the color of their skin, or their religion. I believe that we are all human. We all have feelings, ideas, hopes and dreams. The only thing preventing us from getting along is the lack of trying.
I’m sorry if I’ve stepped on any toes by writing this, but I felt I had to. Please comment and tell me what you think
I would love to know.

I'm all for democracy..but sometimes I meet someone who I wish wasn't allowed to vote..
My boss's husband picked a candidate to vote for by random, didn't read the news of research them. Just pure random, and cast a vote. That doesn't do any good..

Not at all. I believe that our country would be better off if we got rid of parties and just voted on an individual based on their qualifications, policies, and overall character. We as a society have changed our beliefs based on extreme ideas from the left and the right. We are no longer Americans because we feel that in order to have a better society, we need to get rid of certain things that make us free. We should return to that freedom which all of our fore-fathers fought for. The right to judge for ourselves what is right and wrong for ourself, not to be judged by anyone except ourselves and if you are a believer, your god. There is hatered everywhere and we encourage it. We have lost our rights because we use our beliefs to govern other people. What we believe is right, does not make it right for everyone. So, no you are not stepping on any toes. If we would stop and ask more questions, we may not be so quick to pre-judge so many people.
