The Long awaited day

The long awaited day has finally arrived. The day that every member of a club looks forward to from the day they learn of it's existance. The one thing that separates you from so many others in such a dramatic way yet is overlooked by those that fail to recognize the significance of possessing such and wonderful thing. No it's not the all powerful ace, yet that ranks pretty high on the scale, and no it's not the big win against the crushers of the local club, although that would be almost to amazing to rule out as more important. It's the all powerful and course changing Brass Key!!!!
Yuppers, last night I was blessed in two ways. I was voted in as Secretary of the Columbia Disc Golf Club and then to top it off my long awaited dream became reality when I was presented my own Basket Key from President Keith Amerson. Some may see this as one of those Whoooopeee type things but it means a lot to me, but I've been trying to get one of these keys for some time now LOL.
I totally look forward to being an officier for the CDGC and doing my part to help the club grow in any way that I can with the help of my fellow members. Karalyn asked me what was first on my agenda this morning and it kind of made me chuckle and think at the same time. I think the main focus is to continue to improve what has already been set in the current agenda, we have a lot of items on the table that we want to get completed like new placements for the courses, more recycling containers, as well as preparing for the upcoming Biggest, GDS Tour and most of all the Mid America Tournament. As a proud club member of the CDGC I have no doubts that all will go smoothly as this club just simply gets things done. The website is moving right along with the help of many getting things rolling and we hope to be able to serve our members with up to date scores from events in the near future.
I just have one thing to say in closing!

You'll make a fine officer....now your 1st mission should be....and this is just for fun... or should i say laughs. hide on a hole where they can't see the basket from the tee...wait for some group to come through, walk down to find the basket...and when they head back up to the tee box...move it!!!!
...well maybe not the best way to represent an official key holder...but woooo woooo you got a key!!!
