sportsmanship on the course

I played in a dodge ball tournament yesterday for charity and unsportsman like conduct reared its ugly head just like I see in disc golf. I see a similarity between the two sports. You see, they started this yearly dodgeball tournament to raise money for the dixie derby girl roller team. The first year or two we had odd colorful teams, funny and fun matches with a hundred dollar first prize.
Last year some jocky unimaginative uptight losers started raining on our parade. What was once fun turned into a screaming at each other ref hating bad time. There uniforms just said umbro? THe art and creativity of the art center and our roller girls creates wonderful adult music and art in Huntsville. Of course some over competitive crew cut sporting losers had to come in and test there testastarone. we didnt let it ruin our event as the team known as the army of darkness almost won.
but this year, THese people had multiplied by five or six, like gremlins, bad uniforms, no handshake having, ugly look sporting dorks. The matches were made shorter and so was the court to speed up the process. less fun was had. THATS THE WHOLE POINT OF DODGEBALL AND DISC GOLF, have these people seen the movie? Dodge, duck, dip, dive, and dodge, the five D's of dodgeball.
I see the same thing in our beloved sports. Many new people are playing and thats a awesome thing. The problem is we cant control whom we attract.

In my city, over the past year or two weve seen some sore loser, no sportsmanship havin losers rear there ugly heads on forums and during tournaments. They probably made there football or basketball buddies and mad and are looking for a new group to terrorize. Its to the point were Im playing less and keeping a low profile as some of these losers wanna try to measure up to me. Im not here to battle you bro- Im hear to play the course and be as good of sportsman as I can be. I dont say Im better than other players, thats ridiculous!!! You cant always win.

Im a jock, I grew up playing soccer and tennis, baseball, chess. I hope people remember that This sport was created by people who loved an alternative to these over competitive team sports. pure and simple, The frisbee is counter culture. The frisbee says hippie. THe frisbee say go back to balls you sore losers...............
