I'm not brimming with confidence about cold-calling Portland area businesses. Wondering if mailings are cost effective.

In my opinion, you need to do both. first the letter and then a phone call or a follow-up drop in. But before going in to talk to a person, be ready, by that I mean, don't go in without looking your best, remember you are representing disc golf in your area.
